Well, it's fake for one thing. If you read the whole thing, it clearly says that the guns are airsoft guns. It also says that everything is permanently mounted to the case.
At one point, they make a point to say the Zombie Survival Guide is not included. In the next paragraph, they say it is. I wouldn't buy something that can't even be clear on its contents.

That's the worst survival kit I have ever seen!
Here's the real question. What would you put in your very own personal survival pack?
I'm going to think on it and get back to you with my thoughts.

I know I'd want a lot more than that. If that's all you have you're probably screwed.

OK, I revised the original post, and the poll that went along with it.
So alright then... What program are you with? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/Shooting/sang081.gif :zom2:
Btw... I've also reset the poll so that everyone can get back on the fun. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/Characters/1bnz_smiley.gif

instead of 'none of the above' id probably take 'all of the above' as well as a caded, middle sized building for shelter, food, water, a dog for a buddy, and a radio, to look for survivors. but man, just ONE of those plans? you have to be insane! :puke:   :loon:

I have to agree. They are cute. Not a bad way to make a few bucks on e-bay!
As serious survival kits they would be lacking (even if they functioned). I don't have any survival kits in my house except for first-aid (human and pet). So I'm really in trouble if zombies attack!

Plan C. It looks to have the most ammo, biggest shotgun and a homemake survival guide as oposed to one written by a baffoon like Max Brooks.

You've got to be kidding me. :x
Well Assuming these were real weapons I think I'd go with Plan D. Though I would prefer to trade the machete for the hatchet from plan B and the gun for the one from plan C. I'll just make my own case for it.

I certainly hope so... They are just novelty items that sell on Ebay for less than $200. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/bzn123/Smileys/blinkeek.gif
I was hoping you people would have a little more imagination, and not take these survival kits so literally.

All the kits suck! airsoft shotgun, .410 shells, 4-8 shells of ammo, no other supplies? whatever you paid for those, you got cheated out of your money!
I already have a kit, its far more expansive than these kits. I got food, clothing, shelter, weapons, tools, fuel, etc. Lasts myself 58 days or my family (4 people total) 2.5 weeks. Wasn't cheap either, but at least I'm prepared for a disaster, man-made or natural. The only thing you'll find lacking is a booklet titled "plan" or any of those zombie related books in my kit. I've got other more important things to add than books for amusement or occupying time. I'd imagine in a real disaster we'd be more focused on survival instead.

None of these kits seem particularly practical. They all come with shotguns that have about eight shells at most. I doubt that will get on very far. Most of them don't even have melee weapons.

Honestly, the shotgun/machete combo is great. The shotgun can be used until its out of ammo and then you could use the machete. And for all of you saying its just an airsoft gun, the creator of this post wanted you to imagine they are real. Dont't take it to literally.

What good is a shotgun with only a handful of shells?

Beats not having any shells. If these were whats available its better then your pocket knife and a garbage can lid. Put your fantasy caps on people. The thread creator didn't mean for you too take em litterally as plastic guns. I'd still go with combo C.

Everyone who has experience dealing with any disaster situation, including victims of hurricane katrina, and all of the disaster preparedness experts including those in the government, suggest packing something in your survival kits to pass the time. They suggest books, board games, etc.
Because even during the Katrina disaster when survival meant defending against armed gangs of looters and rapists, there were still long stretches of time spent doing jack diddly.
Since everyone with first-hand knowledge on the matter suggests you have some form of entertainment in your kit, I think it's probably a wise idea to take their advice.
