Buffet, thanks for picking up Headshot Quartet! Let me know what you think.

I'm currently reading an advance PDF of Quarantined, a sci-fi / horror novel by Joe McKinney, author of Dead City. I can't say much, but so far it's awesome.

He's an amazing story teller. I rank his style with the mainstream horror authors Clive Barker and Steven King. The Rising is a quasi-theological view of an undead Apocalypse. The book reaches out to fathers in such a way that my parental a-s kept running my hands throughout my hair nervously like a crackhead in a rehab! It's a must read for zombie fans everywhere!

The Death Chamber by Sarah Rayne

Synopsis:
Calvary Gaol, standing bleak and forbidding on the Cumbrian hillside, exerts a curious hold over Georgina Gray. For her family's history is closely bound up in its dark and terrible past. It's there that her great-grandfather worked as a prison doctor in the 1930s; where his involvement in a bizarre experiment would change the course of his life forever. TV presenter Chad Ingram is fascinated by Calvary too. For he plans to conduct a new experiment in the now-disused gaol - an experiment that will take place in the brooding desolation of the old execution chamber. Chad's experiment and Georgina's curiosity will have horrifying consequences. For someone has their own reasons for suppressing the shocking truth about Calvary. Someone who will go to any lengths to ensure the past remains buried...

I just finished Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. It was somewhat difficult to get started because of the format but overall the payoff was worth it. The think I love about Palahniuk is the way he slowly seperates you from your everyday brainwashing and before you even realize it you have a whole new perspective of society.

Currently reading The Walking Dead volume 3 and Mister B. Gone by Clive Barker.

The Living Dead by John Joseph Adams is a compilation of zombie fictions. It covers multiple undead genres from the vodoo zombie, to the brain eating Romero zombies. A must read for zed heads. However...it fails to emit that creepy vibe you can only get from underground horror writers. Nonetheless, read it!

At work right now. When I get home i'm going to start live girls by ray garton. Apparently there's rumors of a movie on this book. So I gotta read it before hand.

I just finished a re-read of Kings Cell. Enjoyed even more the 2nd time.
I also read Weird Tales of the Ramones.

I just started a re-read of Dan Brown's Angels & Demons. I really enjoyed it and it's just as good this time around but I'm not really into it so if something else comes my way I'll probably aside it and finish it later.

Right now, I'm reading Che Guevara and others. When I finish this I want to read some true crime. I have a flavour for some Russian Gangsterism. Can anyone recommend anything?

Breathers: A Zombie's Lament by S.E. Brown (I think that is the author's name.)

I am almost finished with it. I haven't read many dark humor zombie books, but this is worth reading.

If I'm a big fan of World War Z and Zombie Survival guide what should my next book be? Can anything else compare? I'm really not looking for anything comedic though, although I did like Survival Guide. I want to read another similar to World War.

Check out the comics and book section for info on all sorts of great stuff to read.

Off the top of my head I would recommend Eden....one of the first zed books I've read...most excellent. :drinking:

Look into David Wellington. I like him a lot.

I'm currently reading The Road to Madness by HP Lovecraft.

I read part of that book. It was very dry. I think I managed to read about 100 pages or so. I ended up selling it on e-bay. Made more for it than I had originally paid!
