Automaton Transfusion. Well I thought it looked like shit ever since the trailer came out and i wasnt let down. It had some good gore moments but other then that nothing special. Was anyone else bugged about the quality it was shot in?

Napoleon Dynamite
Dracula (1931) This was for a refresher so I can compare it with the Spanish version.
Genuine: A Tale of a Vampire (1920) - This can be found on the extras of the Kino release of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. A dreamlike murder by mind control. The best scene is the first but it's all quite interesting to watch.
The Mist (B&W) - Bought it! I decided to watch the B&W version first as that was how Frank Darabont envisioned it. Feckin' WOW! Awesome movie, awesome monsters (the tentacles were my favorite), and a totally horrorifying ending. I'm looking forward to watching it in color just for the gore factor if nothing else, but I have a feeling the Black and White is going to be my preferred version. I have no cgi complaints. Did I mention this movie IS AWESOME! A solid 13/10 stars!!!!!

I watched both versions of Werner Herzog's Nosferatu (1979). The English dubbed version (The Vampyre) lost some of it's effectiveness with the dubbing. The German version (Phantom Der Nacht) was much better in my opinion. A very enjoyable film but I still prefer the original 1922 version.

The Hunted loved the movie, found it at Walmart in the $5 bin. Couldn't resist.
Chaos Lionsgate really loves Jason Statham, and so do I! Loved this movie, and the ending was awesome.
Run Fatboy, Run I thought it was great. Very emotional role for Pegg to play. The ending was a bit cliche, and you knew it was coming. Overall I thought it was a great film! Tons of funny bits.
After I saw Run Fatboy, Run I had to watch Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. 2 of my favorite films of all time.

Reign Of Fire - I saw this when it was first released. I liked much better this time around. The Dragons are feckin' awesome!
Zeiram 2 - Awesomeness! A killer robot with an evil woman faced snake living in it's chest, a horde of inter-dimensionnal monsters, blood sprays and a hot Japanese heroine. You can't go wrong and you don't need to see the first one to enjoy it.

Last Night, I watched a documentary called "Aftermath:Population Zero." Very Interesting, has anyone seen it? The idea is basically what would happen to the world if the population suddenly dissapeared from the planet earth forever? You could really apply the idea and aftermath to a large-scale zombie outbreak and the after effects.

Lions for Lambs: wanted to catch this in the theater but couldnt get to it. I was impressed, I expected a left wing anti war/GOP film but unlike most of those types of films it actually gave THREE sides to the story. The GOP, Liberals, and the soldiers in the middle of it. Day Of The Dead (08) - First off, come up with your own damn name! That said, I enjoyed this. I'm not a huge fan of runners but this one took it to a whole new humorous level and threw in Spider Man like zombies that could jump and climb wall & ceilings. Other than that, this added nothing new to the genre but was still entertaining.
Halloween III: Season Of The Witch - I hadn't seen this since it was first released on VHS. Halloween & masks being the only common factor this has to the series, I'm sure allot of Michael Myers fan didn't like it. I found it entertaining enough, but not in the least bit fear inducing.

AVP-R - Ugh! I really expected to enjoy this one but some idiot left the lens cap on!!! Seriously, it's so dark all you get to see is the the silhouetted outlines of the Aliens & Predators and when there is a little bit of light, the camera is moving to fast to catch any details. I was looking forward to seeing the 'Pralien' but only got a Rorschach ink blot. It sucked! 2/5 stars. I would have given 3/5 just for the monster action, had I been able to see it.

The Great Yokai War - WOW! Literally thousands of monsters & strange creatures (Yokai) and robotic hybrids. This has somewhat of a live action anime feel to it. Dogora - Very disappointing. I was expecting a city crushing daikaiju flick and what I got was an espionage flick that had a very American feel and maybe five minutes of monster action. It wasn't a bad movie it's just not worthy of the kaiju tag.

Journey To The Center Of The Earth - A scientific expedition to the center of the Earth in search of a lost civilization. A well rounded, enjoyable flick.
Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare - (bought this one) This was allot of fun. The monsters were less believable than old school Godzilla and his battling buddies, but that's part of the charm for this one. Daimon, a Babylonian vampire demon is released from his ancient prison and it's up to the local Yokai to stop him. This was re-made in 2005 by Takashi Miike as The Great Yokai War. The re-make is far superior in my opinion, but the original is still quite enjoyable.

Cursed - Poor film, the worst kind of pg-13 horror. The werewolf dog was cool, but overall it just made me want to watch Ginger Snaps so i could see a good werewolf flick
London to Brighton - Solid film, very gritty and an uncomfortable subject matter, but a couple of sterling lead perfomances made this well worth the time.
28 Days Later - Haven't watched this in ages, definatley prefer it to 28 Weeks

Kicking myself for not seeing it earlier but I watched Grindhouse after I had surgery on my hand. It was on Starz on demand and I sat through the three plus hours and f-ing loved every second on it. Plus I was on percocet which is an outstanding painkiller. I liked Planet Terror a hell of a lot more than Death Proof (which tried really hard to be cool, exception being Kurt Russell who's f-ing cool in everything, everyone else was sort of DOA). Planet Terror was just ballsy and gutsy and sweet as.
I bought Slither and Harsh Times on DVD. Watched Slither which is plenty enjoyable if you're in the right frame of mind.

Suspiria - Wow! Excellent flick, stunning visuals, brilliant score and it actually kept me on the edge of my seat and scared me a couple of times!
Dawn of the Dead - My favourite film, nuff said
Doomsday - Meh, it was ok and the action was top-notch but it jumped around too much for my liking and never really grabbed me. Marshall's weakest film so far.
Diary of the Dead - Average zombie romp, sub-par from George and a disappointment
Dolores Claiborne - Good film, excellent performances and kept me engaged til the end.

Last night I watched Big Nothing, starring Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer. It was a suprisingly good movie that had some nice humor to go with an interesting story. The only problems I had with it were it's mediocrity and confusion in some spots, along with Simon Pegg trying to do an American accent (which was just odd for me). Overall, I give it a 3.5 out of 5: a good rental and maybe an okay purchase.
