ok picture yourself in the future...you and 3000 people are on a death star sized space ship and well somebody gets infected and turns into a zombie and infects the whole ship except for you,a mechanic, a doctor, a soldier, and a prostitute....

you and these 4 people are the only survivors on the ship...meaning there is 2995 zombies on the ship...

there is one ship and no escape pods....the ship is broken and it will take the mechanic 2 weeks to fix and the ship can only fit 3 people...the docking bay is filled ith zombies!

the zombies can run

the ship is on the opposite side of the ship from you and the cafeteria area is about 100 yards from your position....

what are you gonna do to survive for those 2 weeks...and what 3 people are gonna get on that ship once its fixed...

none of you have weapons

You're really not making this easy, are you......

Well, considering this situation, I'd have to say that I would like to have the doctor, the mechanic (of course) and the soldier with me.

I would try my best to hide and be as quiet as I could during those two weeks, using the best stealth skills that I could muster up to get to the ship once it was repaired. With no weapons, I guess I'd have to rely on whatever object that I could get my hands on as makeshift weapons, and hope upon hope that my intelligence and endurance could get me through this scenario. :scare:

i would take the prostitute,doctor,and mechanic :)

i would hide in the cafeteria for 2 weeks without fixing the ship...and sneak over to the shp and fix it whenever i had time....i would have the soldier get all the zombies out of the docking bay....

Prostitute....if your gonna die, might as well have fun!

That sounds like a pretty screwed situation.

"Slowly migrate to the docking bay, stopping for supplies on the way and open the air lock to blow all the zombies out into space. Then close it, repair the ship, strip a few non-essecials to be able to add the extra person, and leave." :)

If there can only be three, I would pick myself (so very selfish of me:evil:), the soldier (for fighting and tactic skills), and the mechanic. I don't need a prostitute, and although a doctor would be nice to have, any injury bad enough to require a doctor, would probably result in death anyway. With fast moving zombies, the injured would be left trailing behind. (I also have enough medical knowledge to get by..minor injuries and such.)

I would use the air ducts to travel from place to place so as to avoid as much zombie contact as possible. Holing up in the ship as it is being repaired is a good idea unless it is very cramped. If it could be outfitted to hold more people, all the better. My question would be...how do you tell the ones that aren't coming the truth?!:x

I had to do a similar type of assignment in one of my classes at school. (Only, no zombies involved.) We had a list of people to choose from to take with us to a new world to began human civilization over again. Each person had a positive quality marred by some problematic situation. A doctor that is elderly..so can't be a reproductive member of the society. A scientist that is homosexual...and wouldn't want to be a reproductive member. And so on. It was a cool assignment. Anyone else ever have to do a similar asignment?

Maybe you could use the shortest straw technique, but rig it so the doc and hooker get the smallest ones. Hell, they wouldn't know any better until they're left on the dock bay.

I think I remember there was a thread on this site that went by that similar guideline, only with who to choose to hold up in a bomb shelter when zombies are amok. Maybe we should try to make another thread like that if it's not here anymore.

Well anyways, if I was on the ship I would first head to the cafeteria as silent as I can, and stock up on any non-parishable products there are. After that I would slowly head to the other end of the ship with the others by going through side rooms and maybe the air ducts to avoid the undead. When we reach the area (and hopefully is in a room seperate from the dock bay where the zombies are), the mechanic would fix the ship, the soldier would be a guard and protect us within the 2 weeks, the doctor would make sure we're all right, and the hooker would....you know.....make herself useful. When the ship is complete I would pick the mechanic (he worked really hard and killing him would make me feel bad, plus what if the ship breaks again?) and the doctor (if we get to Earth in one piece, we need someone to prove what happened on the ship by blood samples). The soldier has fighting skills so he could probably fight off a lot of them and go out in a blaze of glory, and the hooker dosen't really have much of a good reason to go home.

3000 people on a death star sized ship isn't very many, you could go months without meeting one.

I dunno if i'd want a soldier...depends if he was a douchbag or not, regardless if he can shoot. I'd still take the prostitute, because shes a natural survivor, probably in shape and fast. Mechanic, yeah...

Depending on my location to the command center of the ship, I would slowly work my way to the bridge with the prostute to use her as bait if need be. If bridge is cleared out at the time, make my way inside and from the command console lock down the doors from the room where the doc, mechanic and soldier are and open the rest of the doors and airlocks and purge the ship of other undead life forms.

Reseal the airlocks, pressureize the ship and carry out busness.

P.S. Looking over other posts, seems like Darkness and I carry the same train of though, almost.

It's the future. So far into the future that we have death stars. The answer is simple.

I use the cybernetic implant in my brain to request from home base that the antiviral nanomachines for the zombie virus be teleported into the ship, where they would quickly and flawlessly restore everyone to their original unzombified state.

Then I would take my death star and go barbeque myself up some Alderaan steaks.

Seriously people, it's the freakin' future we're talking about here.

I'd beam over to the Enterprise and then launch a spread of MK2 torpedos..

In Space, no one can hear zombies moan...
