Yep... You asked for it, and now here it comes (are you the least surprised?)... Reported on Yahoo! Movies by the Hollywood Reporter, comes a remake of a film many consider to be one of the worst non-budget flicks of all time. :?

Bout time they remade the Attack of Killer Tomatoes. Regardless if it is bad or not, it will be cool to see this remade.

Wow, didn't see that one being remade!
AOTKT is the epitome of 'so bad its good', how's a remake even gonna work? I'm curious as to what they're going to try with this, the major charm of the original is the fact its low budget schlock, i'm not sure a remake will be able to (re)capture the magic of the first, but I'm definatley gonna be waiting to find out!

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is a cult classic. Good or bad I love those chessy horror movies. It was filmed here in San Diego, when they had large Tomatoe fields everywhere, now they are all bulldozed over for homes.

I really like what I'm reading here! I never saw the original AOTKT, but I know of the story, and a remake of that just sounds awesome! A movie like that would really get some great potential if given a lot of imagination!

That's right! I remember the San Diego Chicken assisted in stamping out those murderous Lycopersicons.

Heres the kicker, or stomper. it was at then San Diego Stadium where the SD Chicken stomped the evil tomatoes, one of my older brothers was there with the Chicken stomping, along with a few hundred others. I can only see his back stomping tomatoes for 2 seconds in the movie, his 15 minutes of fame. Its the same field, now Qualcom Stadium, that the NY Yankees won the 1998 World Series, sweeping the Padres that year, ....Damn it all to hell!!!

The people who keep saying this is the worst movie of all time dont get the humour of it. It's a piss-take of horror movies, not an actual horror movie.
You Yanks may call it a "spoof".
Here in Oz, spoof means something totally, and i mean totally, different.
