NOT a newbie

I don't really think of myself as a newbie, but since I never posted an introduction and DarthJoe8 requested one, here it goes:

My name is Darcy and I have been a zombie/horror fan since I was a kid. (Such a very long time ago!) My first encounter was watching the original Night of the Living Dead rerun on Halloween, from behind my brother's back. I would peek out to watch and then hide again when the zombies were attacking. I was hooked from then on. I have seen lots of horror films, but the only ones that scare me are the zombie flicks. Still grosses me out to see them eating someone!:puke: I am an avid reader (mostly horror), love the outdoors, and love animals. I have been visiting this site since Dec. '07, but just began posting recently. I found out about it from one on my zombie books.

I find the discussions here amusing and entertaining. Sometimes even thought-provoking. I hope to be around a long time. I will try not to step on too many toes. I can be a bit opinionated at times. As some of you will be sure to find out...:lol: Hello to all and hope to see you in the forum!

Welcome Zombreach! What part of NC do you hail from? I myself was born in Charlotte back in 1970 and then moved to Eden about '78 and finally to Shelby about '84 where I joined the Navy in 1990. After 4 years of that I moved to Atlanta for a short time and then to Greenville NC until 2001 when I moved down to Bluffton SC where I've been ever since.

Kinda depressing that my entire life can fit into one short paragraph on a zombie movie forum!:cry: :lol:

I am near Raleigh/Durham. I have only lived here for a year and a half. I am originally a Michigander--Detroit area. I have moved around quite a bit also--Michigan for the first 23 years, then Illinois, Wisconsin, back to Michigan, then here. I have finally escaped the snow!!! :)

Yes, you're right Tony, I am quite the quiet one! :lol: Weirdenator likes to pull old threads for his amusement--and this one is quite old!

It did take me 2 years to reach "name your own title", so I am a slower poster then some, but I definitely am not afraid to speak up...:lol:
