The official website for Kôtarô Terauchi's Kuchisake-onna 2 is now online, although at present it's just a home page. Jolly Roger Inc. (http://www.jollyroger.jp/) (K.K. Jorî Rojâ) is scheduled to release the movie theatrically in Japan on March 22nd.
The screenplay for Kuchisake-onna 2 was written by Terauchi and Karoruko (a.k.a. Carolco). Here's a description of Kuchisake-onna 2 from the Tokyograph article "Rin Asuka stars in 'Kuchisake-Onna 2'" (http://www.tokyograph.com/news/id-2617): "'Kuchisake-Onna 2' [is a] follow-up to last year's horror flick 'Kuchisake-Onna' [a.k.a. 'Carved: The Slit-Mouthed Woman'] that starred Eriko Sato. However, this smaller production is more of a prequel, depicting the birth of the legendary 'slit-mouthed woman'. ¶ [Rin] Asuka plays Mayumi, a cheerful high-schooler on the track and field team who is the youngest of three sisters. One day, her older sister's ex-boyfriend disfigures her face with sulfuric acid, leading her to soon become a terrifying killer."
