Venting is the main reason the chat lounge exists!! My wife and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day either. We've been together for 11 years now and pretty much look at this "holiday" as something that was meant for children and new couples who are still dating. I have my own suspicions that it was created by the bankers so that they can have an extra day off in February in addition to Presidents' Day!!:lol:

Actually in the beach cities here in San Diego its a day off for construction workers, In the Town of Del Mar, Solana Beach, and Carlsbad they wont let them open the job sites. A day off with out pay.

Oh by the way valentines day was marketed by hallmark who are the same people who made mothers and fathers day and the recently abandoned granma and granpa day. Did you know that hallmark and hersheys make around 12 million from valetines day alone.

This holiday makes as much sense as easter... yay lets celebrate a dead make beleive character coming back from the grave (zombie jesus) by painting eggs and hiding them.

lol i cant wait till the whole gullible nation actually wakes up from this day dream there in and realize these things, it will have very interesting consequences.

It kind of bites that they are not legal here in So Cal, but I understand because of the fire danger, I go to Mexico and get them, then the beach on 4th of july. You can get anything in Tijuana, huge skyrockets, bottle rockets, roman candles, M-80s, M-160s.

You're perfectly entitled to your opinions here, but I'd stay away from knocking religious holidays if I were you. The mods don't look on that very favorably. A sure way to get yourself kicked outta here is to get into religious or political debates.

I've been on many forums like that... i was on a zombie forum that i didnt find out later was a catholic forum, so i bashed the vatican for a joke and got like a tonne of angry pm's along with a ban note :lol::axe:

My town is the only one you can use regular fireworks now. Chino. (chino hills, ontario, pomona ect are banned.)
