Michael Bay Has Written Transformers 2

Transformers 2 director Michael Bay told Rotten Tomatoes at the Visual Effects Society awards that he's already written the sequel and will pass on his script to the screenwriters, who are coming off of the strike:

"I've been writing Transformers 2," said Bay. "We've got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts, my movies anyway so at least I've got something to give the writers. It's like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that." It might be a tad unorthodox, but Bay has high pressure demands. "We had to because I want to make my date. I'm not going to let the strike take me down."

Bay also spoke to IESB, who he assured that we won't be seeing Dinobots in the follow-up. ILM's Scott Farrar also told the site that there will be a lot more robots this time and that the animatics look amazing so far.

Transformers 2 is scheduled for a June 26, 2009 release.

Empire magazine talked to Transformers 2 star Shia LaBeouf, who says he has seen a lot for the sequel already and knows that there will be new robots on both sides of the battle. Here's a clip:

"I know of a few things I have to work on for the next one," said LaBeouf. "I've seen pre-vizes of the action scenes and I just saw Michael yesterday. It's going to be bad-ass. We're not making another one unless it is, and Mike is definitely not resting on his laurels — he's doing insane sh*t again. And the pre-vizes that I've seen… it's just massive.

I liked the first one. If they tone down the camp and overacting I'd love it!

Bay needs to have an unbiased writer filter his script though.

Though, there is always that worrying thought about it being a bit dissapointing... But come on, for he 1st transformers, I just saw the title and went wtf? this is a ghey movie based off that cartoon untill, I saw the trailer and just fell in love with it. Transformers 2 should be good if not, better.

Another film for this year that I'm excited to see!!!

I don't care what anyone says, I liked the first one and always get sucked in when it's on tv...which is a lot...:drool:


I have my phone set up so when I send and receive text messages, it makes transformer sounds.:lol:

Oh yeah! My buddy and I saw the teaser today during the Super Bowl and we were excited! I loved the movie and I have the Optimus Prime dvd case!

but... I dunno about the other 3 there are actually quite alot to look forward to I just hope that Resident Evil some how pull off a good movie CG or not...
Star Trek should be epic (O_O Sylar is in it!!! Hungry for brainz :evil:)
Harry Potter... should be good though, the third movie was dissapointing so Im going to not get my hopes too high.

Soundwave!!!!!


Well I have to say, that I am a little surprised no one has mentioned anything about Soundwave In T2. He is argueably the coolest badass of all the characters. Now obviously he cant be a tape cassete player. So instead he will take the form of a menacing looking all terain military vehicle called the Balkan MK-6. There is some photos on google images that I tried to link up that are worth haveing a look at.

Very quiet, understated and dark though. Such a contrast to every other BIG trailer, and I love it.
