my best guess is that he got tired of rampant BS that seems to go rampaging through this place every couple of days or so. Just send him an e-mail if you miss him THAT much. I miss the guy too, but you don't see me making threads on every person that goes missing on these forums! If anything he had to do something immediately and forgot to tell where he is. It happens more than you'd think.

While I agree it sucks to see him leave, because I know I sure as hell enjoy watching him lay down some pwnage on people around the forum, and while yes, after four years it would have been cool to see a farewell, I can understand how it would just be easier to leave and not look back. His epic bastardness *in the best possible way* will be missed, but Vic don't jump on jack for starting a thread that most of us have at least had a passing thought of starting.

I seem to remember a thread about "Where the hell did Book go?" at one point, so just chill out.

Hey Folks, I was notified by one of my loyal board buds that there was a thread dedicated here to little old me so I figured I'd drop by, check it out and leave a reply. So...here it is...

I apologize for my absence but between writing my book, writing reviews for a horror review website, running (and writing for) my own horror review website and writing for two horror magazines...I just found myself overwhelmed with work and spending too little time doing it.

ATZ has always been my favorite forum, but it also became a real chore to post here. The lack of law & order around these parts had been sorely lacking and I've felt that the forum was filling up with too many people obsessed with negativity, intolerance and unhealthy fantasies.

The only reason I've decided to drop this reply is because I felt I owed some of you an explanation after posting alongside you all for years now. Unfortunately, I won't be returning again. Anybody that's interested though is free to register and post over at Wildside. It's a friendly, positive environment and there's...hold for it now...ACTUAL MOVIE NEWS & DISCUSSIONS. There's even a zombie forum for the diehard fans!

I had a great run here and I'll miss many of you but I'm moving on. Thanks for being a great crowd. - Brian

ATZ is the 1st forum I ever joined, and I have gotten into it with a few members here about George Romero, and Land of the Dead. But I learned that you cant take things people say on forums to seriously. Any forum you go to has the same problems, people got different ideals about shit.

My problem with ATZ really wasn't about people HAVING differing opinions but rather the overall negative environment that those opinions created.

I'm no "sound voice in the zombie world," just a horror fan that loved to watch zombie films; I do appreciate the compliment though. I'm leaving ATZ because I'm incredibly busy trying to establish myself in the world of genre journalism and the atmosphere here at ATZ has become too negative and politicized for my tastes.
