i have a problem with my jaw. I had a chipped tooth awhile ago and they pulled it out. but the underneath the roots of my tooth it became a bit infected. i know it sounds nasty and what not but my mouth was complety non smelly non disqusting i actually have pearly whites. but they got a bump on my jaw and they have to shave it down. it kind of sucks but yea that is that

So it's dental surgery? Sounds like something any normal person would be scared of, but I'm sure you'll pull through just fine! You'll be knocked out for the duration and then have several days of those wonderful pain killers you can take at home and veg out to some zombie DVD's all day and night! Keep a stiff upper lip and keep us all posted!

Ouch! I've been putting off going to the dentist after my crown fell out and an old filling came out last year. The tooth with the fallen filling rotted away and finally fell out last month after months of pain. I have crappy insurance and lousy excuses and never took care of it, but I guess it's worse when something goes wrong after you get it fixed.

Good luck with your surgery and don't worry, rarely does something go wrong nowadays; the worse would be that you'd wake up 28 Days Later...

I'm getting my teeth pulled and getting dentures later this month.:scare: I put off fixing my teeth for years because i was afraid of the dentist. I recommend fixing it ASAP unless you want false teeth.
My dental insurance sucks too, but they took it away from new hires and will probably take it from us soon.

Good luck man. I gotta go for some drilling and filling (ahem) two days next week, so I know how you feel. Though at least I will be awake for it.

When I got my wisdom teeth removed I chose to get the gas rather than be knocked out. It was the best decision in my opinion because you laying there completely high, and out of your mind. Plus you are watching these doctor carry a conversation about god know what; it is kind of like a movie, the occasional blood squirting out of you mouth. It was a pleasant experience. I don' t know if you are going to get gassed or what but if you have the option go for the gas. :)
