Isn't it kind of rude to just up and change the entire format of your forum? Granted, I never really checked to see if it had a pulse before you closed it down but you must have had some people there.

Let's be honest...it it will be near impossible to sway any of the folk from this board to your new zombie forum. It's established and has years of board membership. I'm not saying don't do it, maybe just encouraging you to save some time.

It's kind of like that one building around your neighborhood that has switched between being a pizza joint, a laundromat, a burrito place, and a comic shop before realizing that no matter what business was there, it was doomed and closed it's doors.

its not like we all swore some sort of loyalty oath, if its a good zombie forum ill go there and check it out and post , that doesnt mean ill abandon this forum either, can always belong to more then 1 comunity based around the same thing.

that being said, and I really dont want to sound like an ass, but im not so sure the guy who thought romero's zombies in night of the living dead ran around screaming "BRAAAAIIIINNNNSSSS" is the right guy to be running a forum for the hardcore zombie fan, maybe you should think about filling some sort of niche that doesnt exist here, maybe a forum for fans of fast zombies only, such as those in return of the living dead and the day of the dead remake, or a forum dedicated to not quite zombie but zombie like movies like 28 days / weeks later and the evil dead movies etc, that would be my advice if your REALLY dead set gung ho on making your own zombie forum, find a sub genre / niche of the zombie genre thats either not very well covered here or people have negative views twards, its probaly your best bet of an active zombie based forum.

theres also one other thing you could look into doing, and Im sure ill get into trouble for even mentioning this... but you could base a forum around the concept of the closed undead survial and defense forum, thats definatly a niche thats not covered here atm.

but at the end of the day its your forum to do with it what you wish so I guess the best advice is do something with it you will have fun doing in the end.

just because i thought Zombie's said Brains in night of the living dead doesn't mean im not a Zombie fan. I have spent years researching actual Zombie information. Not just the movies. Im talking the real Zombies such as

Zombies in Mythological connotation
Medieval Zombies
The Classic "George A. Romero" Zombies
VooDoo Zombies

i have loads and loads of Zombie information. Also, like i said in the post i haven't seen that movie in years so i could have been mistaken.
To francesco, I did have a member base but my forum has been dead for months now.I was at bootcamp for 7 months and it pretty much died out. So im starting a new one. And i was planning on it being more or less a Defense and information forum for those who are preparing for Zombie outbreak.

Sorry for double posting but i just posted a overall layout of my book in the Book section so you can check it out and get a feel for the book. i written about 125 pages so far and that doesn't include the diagrams i had a friend draw for me. Also, my cousin is an editor for a book company( i don't know the actual company name but im pretty sure it isn't a major book company0 so she is going to be doing it for me for free. so woot!!!!!

the fact you claim you have acumulated tons upon tons of zombie info including that about " The Classic "George A. Romero" Zombies " and confusing the NoTLD zombies with those of RoTLD makes me wonder even further , if youve spent that much time researching GAR's zombies, shouldnt you know off the top of your head they cant speak?

Im not saying your not the right guy for the job, im just saying Im not sold yet, make the forum, get it up and running, If i like what i see ill post there, if I dont then I wont, but if its something you want to do then you should definatly do it.

again do what you think is fun and what you enjoy, do a good job of it and the people will find it and it will become active eventualy.

I do agree with you i should have known better. You also have to understand from my standpoint. i have so much research on my mind and so many things on my mind for my book that sometimes i feel cluttered. But thanks for the advice ethier way. And dont worry i dont have hard feelings lol

I'm willing to give you're forum a shot, but I've been kicking around here since 04 and I've seen many a zombie forum come and go, and the few that have stayed never had the same warmth and comfort that I've found here.

Although I do find it rather hilarious how defensive the veterans have been in you're posts.

But, like I said, I'll check it out, can't promise anything though.

Yea im keeping it closed till everything is fine tuned. i should have it all up and running within a week or so. hopefully sooner

Sorry for double posting but i just opened the forum for people to get a feel for the layout and what not. It isn't close to being finished but i figured i can get people to look at it and give me a feedback regarding the layout of the forum. visuals will be done within the next two or three days.
