Well, there isn't much to the site right now cuz it's fairly new, so i don't really have much to say. I was looking forward to the art you were talking about but i can't seem to find any....unless you're counting the calendar, cuz that seems to be your main theme there, and personally i kinda find the "sexy undead girls" theme a little creepy (but that might just be me).

oh, and i checked out ur stuff in the calendar, you're pretty....so now you can feel less ugly, how awesome you feel about that is really your call....still find it kinda creepy though....

I am the set designer and the rest of the group did the makeup and photos

we have other undead offerings, but as the site said, it is on the way


unfortunately, no one has really responded to the idea and we dont know where to go, the website is being revamped, etc

I checked out your site and all of the contents and it seems to have potential once the construction is all good and done. The calendar is a nice touch, October is pretty ('though I'm biased since I'm also October) and I do like the themes for each month (Mr. July is one lucky un-dude).

Okay, I'll bite. I took a look at the site as well and voted on the above poll for the hottest girl from the calender. My vote went to Miss February :love:. I've got this "thing" for short haired brunettes and she was the only one that really struck my interest. OZG, you should create yourself a linkable banner for your site and simply put it in your signature here so that it will get attention and hits without you having to market it in your conversations. Other than that little bit of advice, your site is interesting and it looks like you put alot of work into it. Good job! My only gripe is that the pics are pretty blurry and out of focus. Don't know if that was the intended outcome, but you really should try to get them clearer.

You really need to expand and perhaps put a forum or something other then a decent calander. i believe with time and effort your site can get some people to come and what not.

With the site called "Undead Life", you're able to expand on vampires, ghouls and other deadish things that don't necessarily want to eat brains.

We want the site to be a zombie/horror friends, ie myspace....type place to crawl into.....that uniqueness comes from all of your peoples input.

Here's a suggestion:

Stop using Photoshop on the photos. The touch-ups, color filters and everything else distract from the actual models. It's hard to see whether some are "pretty" or not because their faces are distorted by oversaturation. That whole Rob Zombie music video look is way too processed looking.

Another suggestion:

Stop whining about people not giving YOU guys suggestions for YOUR site and...well...just make the changes you know you need FIRST. See, while you yammer on about how the site should be changed to accomodate viewers, viewers are leaving because nothing is being done to the site. Make every conceivable change YOU can make THEN come back and say, "Hey viewers, what else do we need?"

Last suggestion:

What are you offering that isn't currently being offered? Right now there's a Zombie girl site that smokes yours (no offense). So what can you do to "one-up" the competition? What are you going to offer that isn't currently being offered by others? Autographed pics? Nipple print t-shirts? Full photo collections to paying subscribers?

And... more reviews of literature, films, games, music, etc. that are related to the undead genre. Updates on upcoming literature, films, games, music, and such. Interviews with the people involved.

ZAGG had a sweet thing going with interviews of even lower level people who had art reflecting zombie stuff. OK. Maybe I'll take a chunk of credit on that bit, but there are tons of things that could be done to build your site up.

There are artists out there who would give you permission to post songs, films, and artwork that fit your genre as well. Publicity works both ways.

Build a Myspace account and do some serious friend farming.

Much of what I said seems to be common place for such sites, but I believe that is also a strong foundation.

If you want music, I know at least four punk bands off the top of my head who probably wouldn't have an issue with you posting their zombie-related music on their site and would love the additional publicity. I'm guessing most wouldn't want it to be downloadable though.

I also know of an independent film maker who would probably permit his short zombie film to be hosted there.

Honestly, I am looking for intelligent people like you, who are questioning what exactly I am doing, but I am also looking for people who have a sense of humor and can play with me, as well.

Some like to be argumentative and be mean to me. I am still just a girl...and only a model, artist and writer.

I am not used to playing in a forum(1st of all) and I am not hard skinned and tough to take all of the people only offering bad comments. I am looking for constructive criticism, which I have found from a few and continue with them off to the side.

I think part of the issue you might be having is that you're site isn't really offering much as it stands right now but you're soliciting people to go check it out and offer feedback. Sure you have a relatively interesting product in the calendar but you're boasting about how cool the site is going to be and asking what people want to see from the site.

You should really spend some time to make it your own first and then solicit feedback from people. You're clouding your feedback by fishing for compliments on your modeling work for the calendar, by asking what people want from your site and asking for feedback about the site in general. Narrow it down a bit.

The other thing is that there are already a bunch of established, reputable sites that have done what you are aiming to do. That could be restricting your feedback as well. Over-saturating of information never plays out well.

I feel like you come into this forum and as quick as you can post threads promoting this "Poorbastard.org" without even first reading the threads or trying to make company with the members who are already here. You are a constant reminder on why Safe sex is always a good way to go. First off, Your websites name leads nothing to the overall theme of the website. Poorbastard.org? is this any name for a Undead model website? why wouldn't you have tried to come with a better url for your site. How about
www.Undeadcalendar.org? or www.ZombieHotties.org?? or does you name mean poor bastard who decided to come to my site? i strongly suggest if you want anyone to take your website serious you contact your domain host and ask them for a change.
your main page is one to cringe upon. It is poorly designed and very messy. The only thing nice about your main back is the black background that is rather soothing to me. Seeing as my eyes cringe everytime i read one of your topics of discussion.
I went deeper and found your little Undead Model Calendar and well even though it is a cool idea the models seem a bit bland for my liking but im pretty sure someone out there likes that kind of stuff.
I really don't what else to say other then you really need to shut your site down redesign it remodel it reNAME it and then release it to the public. Until then you should strongly take my review of this site to your head and listen to someone who is trying to give you advice. Other then the small member base and posts, everything else has been carefully designed. The only reason my forum died is because, i could not maintain it seeing as i was away for bootcamp and AIT training for 7 months.

The only thing you "designed" at that forum was the main banner hosted at Photobucket. InvisionFree actually designed the skin for that forum. I wouldn't say designing a plain banner even qualifies you as an amateur webdesigner.

I recommend octoberzombiegirl contact somebody that has actually designed a real, entire website or somebody that designs for a living. It may cost more to go through a professional webdesigner but the quality typically speaks for itself.

I designed my own website from scratch, graphics and all. As you can see it's fairly simple.

I'm going to have to agree with TBD here, are you claiming to be a php programmer? Because if that is the case, you most likely wouldn't have a pre-formatted Invision Power board. Re-skinning a forum doesn't make you a "web designer."

As myself and TBD mentioned, if you're looking to hire someone, Chad Savage of Sinister Visions is definitely your guy. He's created just about all of the haunted attraction sites and his work speaks for itself. I would also look into Rogues Hollow - www.rogueshollow.com I hired them to design templates and the navbar for Revenant Magazine and they did a great job, were nice and worked fast.

Actually ifskinzone.net did not design that web layout for me. I had a bit of help from one of the staff members from there. I used a current designed and changed everything myself. i did all the buttons and everything you see there. I have been a active member of ifskinzone.net for a long time now so relax. i didn't say i was the best. but i know my stuff.

Basically, you made a few buttons and a banner in a graphics program and slapped the coding in to an InvisionFree template. That's still not REAL design and it certainly doesn't qualify you to design a fully functional website. MOST free forums are customizable so one only needs a little graphics know how and a graphic design program to do what you did.
