ok so im wondering about this website it has a large population but yet no maintance or appearance of staff members. I currently run another forum and i was thinking about turning it from a music/poetry forum into a mainly Zombie lover forum. i am posting this thread to see if any current members would like to become staff at the forum and if enough people join the site i will turn it into a Zombie lovers forum. I am doing this because, it seems to me that there is a lot of zombie lovers in this forum and it would be unfair to have a forum that has no staff appearance. so if you are interested check this forum out and let me know

we do have regular staff coming here.. pain and bad zombie night are 2 of the most active members/mods on this board. also dead kev and jason vorhees come on.. dont usually post anymore but do answer pms.

plus.... atz gets its news from the members not just a few people updating the front page.

Ive been on this forum a lot lately and it seems to me that the staff is rather inactive. a site this large with this many people need some dedication in the sense of being on top of things. i see a lot of dead topics and other things that need updating. that one section i heard has been closed for a long time now. Also a lot of people are talking about how the site needs updating. and im just lending the active members here a chance to make something great.

Why would people leave this very well established zombie forum (almost 4 years) to come to your new "zombie lovers forum" ?

...and if by staff you mean moderators, ATZ has those but most of the time everyone gets along so you might not see them as much. In my experience with forums, the overly "staffed" forums are the ones that have the turmoil of posters vs. admin/mods. It gets ugly quick.

agree with FD, however thats not to say it wouldnt be nice if the front page was updated more then every year and a half though

I love it here as well. I understand that people are busy in real life and what not but the thing is it takes no more then 5 mins to update a forum. I have been running forums since i was like 14 and im in the army so i have less time then everyone but i still find the time to update forums i run. I am just fgiving a peacefull solution to everything. i feel like a lot of members are looking for other means of a more active and well taken care of forum. Also, to the Admin. I would be more then happy to assist in any matter needed to keep this forum going. I am rather skilled in forums and web design as well as javascript and writing codes. so if he needs me im here but im giving another solution for members who want to find another means of Zombie discussion

I was not trying to knock or get rid of this forum. I am just trying to help those members who want a change who are tired of the non moderated forums and what not. there is a lot of upkeep needed to be done and a lot of things that need word. i more then once offered my services to help out im just giving another "Shameless" plug as this forum states.

I understand where you are coming from. If i did help out i would not want powers. a simple aim/yahoo/msn/myspace screenname will due. I just need a place to drop codes for him to use since i am diverse. Also, i understand that he has a job. So do i. im in the U.S. Army. And i have a life as well. so i know what work is. I am not trying to make it seem like he is being stupid or anything in that manner. I was just trying to lend a helping hand and/or make another home for people to discuss Zombie forums. It was just a thought that i spoke out to the current members.

Seeing as what i said was considered a "Shameless Plug" as well as news for the forum and seeing as not all members check the SHameless Plug i thought it was be efficient to put a thread in both places.

That is fine i just thought it would be effective for all parties involved. I really didnt put this thread up to shut down this site. i just thought it would be an idea that all could enjoy. Members could enjoy a forum that is well moderated and well up kept as well as coming to a well estiblished site like you said before. This site is kick ass and i love it. just trying to follow the footsteps
