Undead or Alive
Fugitive soldier Elmer (James Denton) teams with lovelorn cowboy Luke (Chris Kattan) to rob a crooked sheriff and skip town with the help of an Apache warrior princess. But robbing the sheriff proves easy compared with surviving a zombie plague that's sweeping the old West! Former "South Park" writer Glasgow Phillips makes his directorial debut with a new twist on that time-honored genre: the zombie western comedy.
Just watched this and it is fantastic! Its SHAUN OF THE DEAD meets BLAZING SADDLES. Gory rotting zombies, several recognizable comedy actors, some great dialogue, and a cool soundtrack. This one is a winner.

how much is chris kattan in this? and how over the top is his preformance? its not corky romano type shit is it?
I absolutely love westerns, and obviously love zombies, so when I first heard / read about this i was super psyched til I saw kattans name atached to it, I think id rather chew off my own fingers before watching one of his mind numbing movies, I do still have a small measure of hope that his performance in this will be semi restrained though, maybe even.... good?

He is one of the 3 major characters, and he is very good in this. I haven't seen Cory Romano, so I can't compare..

just watched it again with the actors commentary. Trivia fact. The western town they used was built a couple of decades ago as sets for other westerns. They mention that at the time of the recording of the commentary, that the reality show KID NATION was filming there. And K.N. claimed it was a real ghost town the kids were being left at, and now it turns out to be a movie set.

I must say, I was very suprised / pleased with this movie, it was very good, and very funny, and for the most part kattan was spot on, though he did have a few parts where his dialouge was so corny I just rolled my eyes, but overall a very fun movie , the fact that its a western zombie movie ( my 2 favorite movie genres ) is just icing on the cake
9 / 10 from me on this one, would have been a 10 with a few less corny lines and a couple more buckets of blood :drinking:

Pretty decent flick. I enjoyed it over all. I don't see it as being near Shaun of the Dead in the aspect of zombie comedies, but this one is definitely worth owning. Good dialog, decent action, decent gore, and an all around good time.
Did the ending remind any one else of A Boy and His Dog? Maybe it's just me.

Just watched this today and I have to say, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Aside from FIDO, it has to be one of my favorite zombie films of this past year. Funny jokes, awesome zombies, good story, no complaints on my end. One hell of a fun ride.
