Showing on Channel 4 this Wednesday at 2.35 am in the Marioland of England.

Never seen it myself, but it sounds alright to me. Halliwell's film guide gives it a star!

"An early example of Romero's genius in handling apocalyptic action, this germ-warfare thriller's anti-military subtext and edgy realism remain frighteningly accurate."

It's not a bad little film at all. I watched it mainly because not only was it an early Romero flick but it also had some of the cast from his 'Dead' films in it (Richard France from Dawn and Richard Liberty from Day). That said, the proposed remake of this that was announced a year or two ago doesn't seem to have moved much, since I've heard nothing new about its production.

I really need to get my hands on this film. I also want to see Martin and Bruiser, despite what I've read. The clips in Document of the Dead from Martin look pretty jarring, but well-done. Very student film.

I've seen Martin and thought it was a nicely original take on vampire flicks. A copy of Bruiser is currently sitting on my coffee table, but I've not got around to watching it yet.

The Crazies is a very good film. I believe I saw it on AMC or one of those channels uncut. I wanna get it on DVD soon. I think any Romero fan would enjoy it. I want to watch it again really bad now. I need to see Martin. It looks really good.

I got Bruiser in Spanish on VHS recently just to have it. If I can't find it in English soon enough, I may just have to suffer and cope with translating.

Fantastic film. It's amazing how many films seem to have been somewhat influenced by it (Outbreak, Resident Evil, 28 Days Later, etc). Blue Underground's DVD has some decent special features and a nice looking print.

In Spanish where do you get this stuff?

In Spanish where do you get this stuff?

There's a local used book/VHS store. They get virtually no business. All books (hundreds of thousands of them) are a buck, VHS tapes are $2.50.

I got Bruiser in Spanish, Scanners, 200 Cigarettes, Rock N Roll High School, Creatures from the Deep... A bunch of stuff for next to nothin.

I own The Crazies. I've only watched it once and I wasn't overly impressed with it. Interesting premise, but it could have been much better. I don't really feel it's worthy of being remade unless several of the original's flaws are improved on.

Well I tried to watch it on Channel 4 (UK), but it was shown with signing for the deaf. By a man in a very bright red jumper.

It was just too distracting for me to watch it like that. I emailed Channel 4, but they said they had no plans to air it again without the signing.

I will just have to wait, or buy a copy I suppose.
