Just heard about this the other day on Wildside Cinema and I can't wait!
The monsters have made it into a small neighboring town in the middle of nowhere and the locals have to band with the survivors of the bar' slaughter to figure out how to survive.
They're also working on Feast 3: The Happy Finish which is also scheduled for a 2008 release.
Yippee!

Can you provide any examples of lameness, because I sure can't remember any...

Lame? To each his/her own I suppose. More than seventeen syllables would be nice but...
Personally I thought it was fast, furious and funny! It was gory, goofy entertainment that didn't require deep thinking or an understanding of socio-political anything. It was popcorn cinema, not much to dislike in my opinion.

WTF?!! Feast was freaking AWESOME!!
From what I can find, part 3 is tentatively titled "The Happy Finish" and there's a possible part 4 in the works as well. It wouldn't bother me one bit if Feast became the "Saw" of direct to DVD movies with sequel after sequel churned out each year.

maybe i was just overly critical, but it just didn't work for me and i was disappointed when i saw it. To me it just wasn't convincing or all that much fun. It was one of those films that could have been fun, but just missed the mark by a small fraction.

I'm loving the title!
Even it the movie sucks, which I don't think it will, it's still got one of the best sequel titles ever!

I didn't think the first movie was "lame" but it didn't blow me away. Still, I will catch the sequel

The first film was a very enjoyable diversion (pure fun). Here's hoping the sequel keeps the same overall tone.

Watched Sloppy Seconds a couple of nights ago and thought it was pretty damned good! They could've left out the baby scene, but I'm only touchy about that because I'm a new dad. That wouldn't have bothered me a bit a year ago. Anyway, I'm excited as hell about part 3 now. Anyone got a release date? BTW, GREAT decision by the director to include the 2 hotties on the right buck naked for the last few minutes of the film!

This movie was alot of fun. The green screen bothered me the whole roof scene, but besides that it was a great B movie. The redheaded babe was my favorite

I just hope we get SOME explanation on 3 WTF the creatures are and where they came from. In the first, with what seemed like just 5 or 6 of them attacking a remote bar in the desert, I assumed they were mutants from an old army nuclear testing grounds. But with what is mention in 2, it seems to be an attack of mutants of a very wide range. One of the midgets says they heard on TV before the broadcasts stopped the army was going 'from town to town picking up survivors, they should be here in 24 hours or so' (paraphrasing here, don't remember the exact wording)
The description for 3 says As the flesh-eating beasts continue to devour what's left of humanity, embattled survivors Biker Queen, Bartender and Lightning do their best to stay off the menu in this third installment of the funny and scary Feast franchise. But a new hope dawns when our heroes meet a karate fighter with a taste for knives and a man who seems to know how to contain the monsters. Craig Henningsen and Juan Longoria García star. implying it is a world-wide attack.
