Hi folks

I'm new here so don't slam me too hard if this question has already been asked, but I was wondering if anyone out there has come across the instance of finding multiple but differently named releases of films?

I ask this because I recently purchased a European import of a zombie film, but was surprised when I got home to find I already owned the movie (and in fact got the original for much less $$$ and under a different title).

Just curious if anyone else has come across this and if there are any common instances for people to be aware of?

Thanks

Matt

There's bloody loads of them, especially the Italian movies. For example Anthropophagus the Beast is also known as The Grim Reaper, City of the Living Dead aka Gates of Hell, Zombi Holocaust aka Dr Butcher MD, Phenomena aka Creepers and so on.

Am sure Evilzombie20 will be on at some point and list a short essay for you:lol:

Quite often it depends on the market that the movie is released for.

The book Eaten Alive: Italian Cannibal and Zombie Movies lists alternate titles for every movie in the book, some having two or three different names.

Quick Tip fellow horror fiend.

Always, always, always, check here (http://www.imdb.com/) first. Chances are they'll be able to give you a lot of background info on just about any movie ...even some of the more obscure ones.
