Yeah baby my Chargers beat the Bears 14-3 today. LaDainian Tomlinson Coming off his last year MVP performance the Bears defense held LT for only 25 yrds rushing on 17 attempts, but he rushed for a TD, and threw a 17yd TD. :drinking:

Go Chargers! I live in L.A., but since we don't have a team anymore, I just root for either Chargers or Raiders. But Chargers have the slighter edge when it comes to which team I would support.

My Browns got crushed by the Stillers!!

Oh well, hats off to you Steelers fans - your team is still clearly better (man, can we just go back to the Kosar era?!)

your chargers beat my bears ! honestly, I didnt have many high hopes for the bears this year, and i still sort of dont, ( where are you mr thomas jones?!) but the way the bears ( kinda ) kept it close today fills me with some small measure of hope, I was expecting a 30 - 40 to nothing blow out lol.

well see where the season goes, I have little hope for clown grossman, er rex grossman, and cedric benson will most likely end up stinking the joint out, I really atribute alot of last years success to the stupidly easy schedule they had but on the flip side of that they did OK in the playoffs which was tough , especily the saints, and this year thier schedule is much much harder , so i guess well just have to wait and see :x

PS I just want to state im no, omg the bears are in the superbowl they are my new fav team til the next superbowl, I am a tried and true, through thick and thin bears fan of 26 / 27 years :drinking:

Heres something special for you all http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHtkzAwG9iE haha

Agree the Raiders use to be bitter rivals. Now, they're the embarrasement of the NFL. Even osme of the fans are pretty rediculous. That whole Darth Raider look has to go. Roger Goddell should ban that old fossil Al Davis from haveing any invlovement in football operations entirely. Who the hell is Lane Kiffin anyway???

did anyone hear the news about the Pats???

Bwah haha!!!!

The Pats just got jacked!!!! Not near enough though.

They lost there 2008 1st round pick most likely. Team was fined $250k and the arrogant jerk coach Bellichck was fined 500k which has to be paid out of his own pocket and can't be paid by the owner.

Words cannot describe how awful that game was. I hope they make all the Browns players and coaches watch an endless loop of the game, Clockwork Orange style.

The Browns seemed to have drafted very well. However they are in a tough division. Do you think the Browns will turn it around this season?

Good idea - brainwashing them into thinking they're a good team may be their only chance!! :)

"The Browns seemed to have drafted very well. However they are in a tough division. Do you think the Browns will turn it around this season? "

Honestly - I'm really stumped as to why they're not playing better. On paper, they've got some talent, and although the O-line needs some time to gell, their only real weakness should be the D-line once Quinn gets acclimated. It may just come down to Crennel not being a sufficient motivator to be a decent head coach - the Browns need someone hardcore like Cowher.

Well if the Browns don't play well by the end of the season they may need new leadership. If thats the case, hopefully they can opt to hang on to Romeo Crennell as a DC instead of letting him go. Do you think Brady Quinn will get some playing time this Sunday?

IMO the same can be said about the Chargers with Norv Turner he can always remain as OC if they dont' win a playoff game or the championship this year.

Probably only if the game is a blowout or Anderson gets hurt. :-(

My Buddy who is a BIG Browns fan says that they should start Quinn after week 6 due to an easier defensive schedule. This makes sense for his development.

Go Chargers!

Speaking of Browns.

The Browns beat the Bengals 51-45. That must of been a fun game to watch.

bears beat KC 20 - 10, very unimpressive game, esp against the chiefs... starting to think this year might be back to buisness as usual for the bears :x

Yes. Yes it was!!

I just can't figure this team out. Was really depressed after the thrashing by the Stillers last week, and then they go and score 51 points this week. However, they did give up 45 and that concerns me.

What happened?! Numerous upsets this week and a pretty big blow out! Most noteably the Browns scoreing points the way they did and the Patriots played very well.

Lets' talk football!!!

Did anyone check out this weeks schedule?

Well it's week 3 as of tomorrow and the game of the week has to be well I'm going to say Detroit vs. Philadephia. For any Eagles fans here it's a must win. Otherwise, they will be 0-3. After the way, Donovan McNabb put down his receivers in the media and complained about discrimination against black QB's I would say his mental state isn't focused on the Lions. I pick Detroit to win here by 5 points 21-16. Wow! I can't beleive that Detroit may go 3-0 for the first time in over 20 years.

A couple of questions going into week 3. Here are two interesting games.
Packers vs. Chargers
You have to wonder if the Chargers offense is going to play well this week vs. the Packers Defense???
Browns vs. Raiders.
Does anyone here think that the Browns will repeat there performance of last week?

yeaaah the Bucs won. looks like it could me a wildcard season for them.. too early though.

how bout the redskins blowing it bigtime to the giants. they had the ball on the one and did 2 rushes in a row when they were shut down there the whole game? the passing game was top notch.. oh well chumps.

Watched the Chargers vs. Packers and the Chargers lost again. Phillip Rivers played much better but can still improve I think. If the rest of the team doesnt start playing much better by week 5 I will start to worry.

Caught part of and watched the highlights to most of the games. Yeah, that goaline decision was a bad coaching call after the fact. What can you say about he Skins? every year for the last few years the defense has played consistently well and the offence has only scored little points.

Similar situation with the Bears who are not getting enough help from the offense. The long run by the Dallas RB near the end of the game was something.

believe it or not, that is a conscious choice made by ron turner and to a lesser degree lovie smith, it goes something like this with the bears.

the bears score a touchdown, or even a field goal, ron turner then goes into idle or "safe mode" only just trying to barely scrape by and get time off the clock while we have the lead, hoping and praying that the defense can hold the other team at bay and the bears will win the game.... complete :poo: if you ask me, horible theroy.

they need to

A) fire ron turner

B) be more agressive, if your leading by 1 TD or even FG, dont shut down the offense, try and widen the gap for the love of god

C) fire ron turner

D) sell the bears to someone other then the McKaskies , they are sooooo cheap they make ALL of thier choices based 100% purely and totaly on the cheapest posible way to assemble a team .

this is the reason that the bears are now stuck with clown shoes ( cedric benson ) and chose not to pay the money to thomas jones to keep him around, they figgure if they are stuck eatting the money they spent on cedric benson - if he is good or not, he is thier guy, so they let jones go, and look how thats worked out for them this year :x

Watched the Panthers/Falcons game. Not really a fan of either one but the wife and I are pulling really hard for Atlanta this year in the hopes that people will see that they don't even need the piece of shit pictured below.

The Chargers should of never gotten ride of Marty Schottenheimer, they look like a very bad coached team right now.

yea, thats norv turner for you, both ron and norv turner ( brothers ) are cancers to any team they wind up on, I truely do feel for all the charger fans.

The Chargers coaching is part of the reason for the losses I think but they are not entirely to blame. Both losses are too undefeated teams and it's still early in the season with MUCH ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT. Mostly in the running game obviously. As for the secondary they will be needing a lot of help from the pass rush and they are going to have to play better aswell. Even if Schottenheimer had been here the Pats are in play-off mode already and the outcome would very likely have been a loss. That last bit was hard to say.
About the coaching, if the Chargers don't acheive success in the playoffs then I believe Norv Turner will remain on the staff and be demoted to OC.

RE: the Bears I hear a lot of complaints on the forums about Ron Turner.
