Sounds like a good plan but honestly, I don't understand why people are going nuts over an "unrated" version of the film. I have the workprint and even in that form it's very sterile, there's a few gunshots that were toned down in the rated version and one completely missing. A few shots of Barbara and Johnny driving in the beginning were exorcised and that's it. Roughly I'd say there's a 30 second difference.
I would just like to see the film on a regular, non-flipper disc, with a few added features and that about covers it. Honestly, the deleted scenes featured in the DEAD WALK documentary on the disc are really all that was taken out so even a deleted scenes feature would be kind of useless.

I can understand the desire. This is one of my top 7 zombie flicks. I love the zombies, I love Patricia Tallman. and I love Romero's unseen work in the flick. His voice over is great at the end. he did a lot on this flick.

I honestly don't think that an uncut version will make the movie better. It's already awesome without all the gore.

Well there's not much for gore missing, like I said just some headshots and a few extra shots of them driving in the beginning. Really, that's it.

Petitions don't make not one iota of difference to companies. One of the best ways to get a company to take notice is to start a mailing and calling campaign. These petitions are commendable but ultimately worthless.
