An evil force is awakened in downtown Athens transforming the unsuspecting citizens into raving zombies. The few survivors will have to fight hard for their lives. To the death. This is a nice little gore fest driven by fast zombies and brought to us from Greece (which is a first to my knowledge). There's no fantastic zombie makeup (like the artwork would lead us to believe) and not much of a story but there's plenty of gore and some laughs to boot. It'll never be a classic but it's worth a rent and worthy of the zombie movie collectors shelf.

Seems like it's worth a look. I won't go out of my way to track it down however.

being kind of silly and the cool last shot was the only thing I remember about this movie.

I rented this Greek zombie flick the other day and must say that I was pretty impressed with it.

The premise is that three workers are infected with some type of evil presence (this is never fully explained) inside a hidden cave under the city of Athens. Hours later, all three become flesh-eating zombies and attack those closest to them. Those they kill become zombies and so on. The infection quickly spreads and survivors ban together... to continue surviving I guess.

Anyway, the characters are pretty interesting. You have a constantly-joking taxi driver, a psychotic soldier, a teenage girl, and others among the motley crew of survivors.

The gore is plentiful. It's not always perfectly realistic, but it definitely works.

While not a very serious film for the most part, Evil is a fun and entertaining movie. I definitely recommend it to zombie movie fans who can handle a pinch of humor in their movies.

sorry to burst your bubble hateful but there is a bazillion threads about this film already under it's Greek name, To Kako.

There's some great information in some of those threads though, worth a look.

Sorry. I was lazy and the Greek name wasn't listed on the information I had on it.

Has anyone else sense this really good zombie film ? I enjoyed it a lot and just the overall pacing of it was great! The zombies pretty good and the ending was really cool. I have heard words of a Evil 2 and can't wait!

There's already threads about this title, until this post is axed or merged, where did you hear rumblings of an EVIL 2?
