The Walking Dead Collection and Fangoria's Dead Meat

I got these two yesterday at Suncoast. I almost got Electric Zombies and Hell of the Living Dead, but they were expensive (15-30 bucks).

The collection has:

Carnival of Souls
Horror Rises from the Tomb
I Bury the Living
I Eat Your Flesh
Seven Doors of Death

We watched Seven Doors of Death. It was slow and silly, but the gore was great, and the last 10 minutes was worth the whole movie.

Haven't watched anything else of the collection yet, or Dead Meat.

ELECTRIC ZOMBIES has NO zombies in it, like at ALL. The people in it go crazy then either die or spasm, they don't really do anything. Really pointless movie and has nothing to do with zombies, sure you actually bought this one this time?

The others are - meh - except for SEVEN DOORS OF DEATH and DEAD MEAT, HELL OF THE LIVING DEAD we've already discussed.

Who said anything about BUYING them last time? I swiped them while very drunk, hence why I was so confused as to what I actually got. If I could go back, however, I would pay for The Dead Next Door and steal Zombie Chronicles again, because... well, they don't deserve my cash for that crap.

Well when people keep stealing, the prices need to go up to compensate for what they've lost. Sounds like you aren't actually purchasing films, but stealing them which in it's own right is disrespectful to the filmmakers.

Honestly, I couldn't give a **** less about the semantics. Movies are overpriced. If they raise the prices to compensate (which I highly doubt they will, because people would go on a murderous rampage if they had to pay more than the exorbent prices they are already being asked to pay), they'll just be MORE overpriced... which will convince OTHERS to steal.

Besides, it's like music, artists don't make money off sales. They make it off "live" events (live showings, public events, etc) and merch.

I don't care what people read. It's an internet forum. It's for sharing information and opinions, and I try my best to respect everyone. However, my feelings for individuals here do little more than decide how much stock I put in their opinions later on.

You and I are ALWAYS going to disagree on this; I LOVED DEAD MEAT. I thought it was a very well done indie flick with some genuinely creepy and well shot scenes. The acting was pretty good too.

Although, I have a hard time with European/Irish actors, I mean I can tell the difference between a good actor and a bad actor in America but it seems like anything to come from overseas, that acting's great. Maybe it's just the accent.

I'm not "making shit up." Trillian logs every IM I get, and I just cut and pasted from the log file. To pretend like you didn't say that stuff is just ****ing creepy. And I don't see how any of this has to do with personal issues. Seems to me, debating my morals and personal actions outside of this forum and trolling me on AIM is considerably more personal than anything I've mentioned on my part. I didn't care much for it. I just didn't have much content to me. Though, the director's commentary and behind the scenes stuff made me appreciate it just a tad bit. I always like seeing that the directors and writers are putting thought and affection into their work.

This is America. When people don't like high prices we find other places to shop or we dig a bit deeper into our wallets and bitch and complain. Nobody will be going on any murderous rampages over price hikes on DVDs.

Filmmakers, however, DO make money from DVD sales. Public screenings DO NOT offer filmmakers a chance to recoup their production costs. Perhaps learning a bit more about the people you steal from would make a difference?
