Okay, I'm sure everyone has heard about this by now and I really wasn't even gonna start a thread about it until I read that Savini is gonna be in it. Don't get me wrong...That doesn't mean that it's gonna be any good because, let's face it, surfer vampires absolutely screams ultra-ridiculous plot. I just get such a kick out of his campy/cheesy acting that I'm definitely gonna have to rent this one now!

According to Fango Radio, Tom Savini will appear in The Lost Boys: The Tribe. "I'm one of the first vampires you see in the movie," Savini said of the sequel to the much-loved 1987 Joel Schumacher teen horror hit. "I'm a surfer who runs into the vampires at the beginning of the film, in a sequence that is shot very Sergio Leone-style. They're shooting THE TRIBE in Vancouver right now, and I'll be there September 11." Savini also believes that the film will be going theatrical due to the success of Coreys Feldman and Haim's reality show. Savini joins a cast that includes the two Coreys, Keifer Sutherland's brother, and some other folks. Let's just hope he inspires the makeup guys to not leave everything to CG like most modern vampire movies.

I might not have a good sense of when crap will arrive in theaters or video stores, but The Tribe already sounds like crap! I'll be suprised if I hear any good reccomendations when it comes out.

I am kinda of sitting on the fence on this one, especially with the 2 Coreys, they might of been decent child stars, but as adults maybe they should stick to thier VH1, I ruined my career thru drugs reality TV shows. Everyone likes to see a train wreck.

I agree wholeheartedly! This movie will suck MUCH ass, but like Undead Fred said, "everyone likes to see a train wreck". As for Savini's statement about this possibly getting a theatrical release, I don't think there's a snowball's chance in Hell of that happening. Can't wait to rent it, though!!!

The orange and yellow-y named Autumn Reeser is set to join the cast of Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, joining the Coreys and Tom Savini in the P.J. Pesce-helmed sequel. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Reeser will play a girl who, along with her brother, moves to the town of Trinidad, Calif., where she is seduced by the leader of a cult of vampire surfers. Reeser is best known for her role on Fox's "The O.C."

Well, he must have had a change of heart since then because Lost Boys 2: The Tribe (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt1031254/) is already completed, and set to be released this summer straight to DVD.

It was removed because it was leaked prematurely, which meant that there would have been a copyright violation... According to Corey Feldman in his web Blog, the trailer will be attached to the I Am Legend DVD which will be released on March 18."I am told that the film looks great and there is even more hype about it getting the theatrical release (still no definite decision) and I have seen the trailer and it looks and feels very similar to the vibe of the original. Apparently the trailer will be attached to the Will Smith movie I am Legend when it is released on DVD."

Thing is, I really, really enjoyed the original The Lost Boys as just a mindless action/horror/comedy. I had a blast with it, but I'm not a massive obsessive fan of it like I am of Romero's films, so it's not really a big deal to me if this sucks. If it's good, on the other hand, I'll have a great time watching it. So I'm not getting uptight about it like, say, with Contagium or Children of the Living Dead. I think it will be a fun movie, personally.

I will be checking out Lost Boys 2 on dvd without a doubt but I also have been saying for awhile this movie wont get a theatrical run. Today Corey Feldman posted on his blog exactly that. The film will go straight to dvd, has no hope of a theatrical run unless.. The only real shot there is left is if every single fan of the movie were to take the time to personally hand write a letter to The president of Warner Bros. Jeff Robinov and send it directly to his desk c/o Warner Brothers studios. If by chance every single one of you wrote a plea letter it may make a differance, but I sure can’t make any promises. I know many of you are feeling dissapointed and hurt….as am I and as you should. We see a lot worse movies get theatrical releases every week. Butt you can lead an exec. to the theater but you can’t make him watch. Oh well, either way I hope you enjoy the film when it comes out on whatever format.
I bet the WB exec watched the trailer below in making the decision. I think this movie will make good money on DVD and its a SMART move not putting it into theatres to crash and burn. Agree? Disagree? sound off in ye comments -Horror-Movies.ca

Okay I just got finished watching this dvd and it was decent in agory sense of a way. The acting wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was gonna be. There is alot of gory kills in it which isn't a bad thing at all.

Corey Feldman was cheesy as always but he's Edgar Frogg lol.

The special features on the dvd have 2 alternate endings with Corey Haim in them. I guess he was cut from the movie cause he's so drugged out looking still lol.

The original Lost Boys was a great film and my 2nd fave vampire flick behind the 1979 film Salem's Lot.

As for part 2 I give it a 5 out of 10 rating for the gore and the hot looking naked women in it.
