hi guys, new to the forum, i've never really been in to zombie movies but that all changed when i watched shaun of the dead.
i fell in love with film and soon went on the search for my next zombie fix.
i've come to the conclusion i like my movies with a 'zombie apocalypse' theme, films i have picked up are: 28 days later, dawn of the dead (2004) and land of the dead.
can anyone recommend me some 'zombie apocalypse' themed movies?
thanks in advance,
dannyofthedead!!

Of course you must check out George Romero's 3 original "Dead" movies if you haven't yet.

I forgot. The 1990 remake of the original NOTLD is very good, too.

I like the 1990 remake but theres something in there i don't like, but i can't exactly put my finger on it.
Once you run out the Popular Romero here are a few others that may interest you:
Into the oldies? there's the original "Night of the Living Dead"(1968). Also "The Last Man on Earth."
You may want to check out "The Crazies," and "Dead Meat."
IMO all good movies worth the watch.

"Undead" is a good one. It's got that end of the world feel to it. It's got some crazy Australian humor in it too.

Children shouldn`t play with Dead things,Let sleeping corpses lie The Quick and the Dead, Wicked Little things, and Dead and Breakfast are interesting and fun watches. I would also recommend The Return of the Living Dead as it was originally written to possibly be a sequel to Night of the Living dead. If you are a complete addict by then The Rotld 2-5 are fine if you can get them cheap otherwise avoid the sequels.
As for whats missing from NoTLD 90.. IMO I think the fact that its in color and that I`m used to the original being in B+W.For me the B+W adds to the atmosphere.

I would have to say Dawn of the Dead remake was the most complete zombie apocalypse movie.
