Loved the original. Had a fun time at the remake. Looking forward to renting this one for a good popcorn flick night...

It doesn't have any of the appeal that the remake did for me. It looks more like Aliens VS Predator with ghosts (that look far too living) thrown in. I'll rent in nonetheless, but I'm not expecting much.

The director of Return also helmed the FANTASTIC short film, El Ciclo. I'm expecting decent things from this sequel.

James Marsters had a breif cameo in the remake. It would be cool if his character returned in the sequel...

I'm actually debating on buying an HD player so I can get the full experience and utilize the navigation features that are exclusive to the HD and Blu Ray editions...since I have a 360 and an HD player would only run me $200 or so - that's my choice and I'm sticking to it.

Either way, I will be picking this one up. I had so much fun with the first I just can't refuse.

Does anyone care for the Vincent Price version? The original, original.

I absolutely LOVE the original and prefer it way over the remake, but I'm hoping this sequel is gonna offer a bit more than that did.

The original Price version is a classic. However, I didn't find myself as completely as insulted watching the remake was I was watching that monstruous remake of THE HAUNTING. I'm looking forward to this sequel because I've been hearing good things about it. Course, it also helps that the director is a freakin' VISIONARY! Hopefully they let him shine on this.

Just got done watching this, and I actualy really liked it. ( Id like to add I really liked the 1999 remake alot too though )

the story / plot was nothing to write home about as its been done before ... alot. the story actualy reminded me a bit of deep rising .

the acting was passable, good in some spots , less then desirable in others.

for the most part it generaly kept the feel / atmosphere first movie, as well as the ghosts / demons were pretty much the same as the first one .

it had some really good gore scenes, a few of them practical, a few of them CGI, speaking of CGI this movie had some really sketchy CGI in spots esp' in the final 15 - 20 minutes of the movie which I feel is probaly its biggest detracter, I hate bad / phony looking CGI.

the ending was only OK, it actualy left a bit to be desired in my opinion , but it was endlessly better then the endding of the first one.

over all I would give this movie a 7 1/2 out of 10, it could have been an 8 or even an 8 1/2 if not for the sketchy CGI but all and all a very enjoyable flick and is definatly worth checking out

oh and btw, make sure you watch til after the credits are done

oh hell yeah. one of the scariest scenes is when the lights go on and that old blind woman is standing there!

Finally got to sit down and watch this one last night while the wife was working late. ZamD is correct in that if you enjoyed the first one, (remake), then you are apt to enjoy this one just as much. Actually, I liked this sequel a bit better than the first! This one had alot more ghosts in it and their makeup was more macabre which made for some decent frights this go 'round. The acting was cheesy in a couple places, but that's what happens when you give pretty girls big guns and tell them to act like a bad ass! Alot of people have pointed out that the main female character's tank top seems to get wet for one reason or another every chance and that turned out to be true! It seems that after she's had a few minutes to dry out, the director finds some other reason to soak her down. Mind you, I'm not complaining about that, though!! All in all, this was a fun rainy night popcorn flick. Nothing more, nothing less.

I watched this today and I enjoyed it. It had some great kills. The bad guys were a bit over the top with the acting but who cares. Good little flick.
