did a search for this and didn't find it. Whats is scarying than a clown? A zombie clown !!!

releasing this Tuesday July 31 on DVD,

DEAD CLOWNS
The residents of Port Emmett prepare for a hurricane that will churn up a 50-year-old secret, awakening an army of zombie clowns. Left to die after a circus train accident, the clowns rise from their muddy graves to get revenge. The guilty can run, but they can't hide from the truth … or the undead. Lucien Eisenach, Jeff Dylan Graham and scream queen Debbie Rochon star in this horror story from writer-director Steve Sessions.

Yugh. There's gotta be a reason why this film is just finally seeing the light of day after being finished for 3 years. Debbie Rochon? Brinke Stevens? Jeff Dylan Graham? Sounds like another shot-on-video Lionsgate shitfest. I'll be passing on this.

Duh'm....anyone notice something odd about the front and back of the artwork?

I guess we can be rest assured, it's a "Gory zombie flick" and that it has "Lots of gore" and that it's "One of the most effective indie horror films I have seen in years."

Seriously folks...same quotes on the front AND back of the box...that can't be good.

Apparently, it was one of the most effective indie horror films Mr. Disgusting had seen in years but...it wasn't good enough to rate it above 2.5 stars lol

This does look pretty terrible.

Its not good enough to be terrible. got it last night from NetFlix, and it is LAME.

shot on home video tape, nothing happens for 30 minutes. Just stock footage of TV news storm coverage, as a hurricane is coming into the town. At about the 30 minute mark, finally the dead clowns rise from the harbor. Then as each person introduced to the viewer is attacked, they all react in the same way. No screams of horror, no lines of dialogue like "Who/what are you!" , just puzzled silence. Not one person ever reacted emotionally to seeing a dead clown approaching them.

And the clowns, their heads are just badly scupted rotting heads, while their clown suits (under water and muck for 50 years, are not only dry, but look sparkling new, as if just purchased from the local K-Mart at Halloween time.

And some clowns seem to have to break into the homes of the victims. plying off the storm shutters and breaking the glass; while others seem to just magically materialize inside a closed closet or bathroom, which the victim was going to to hide.

Do not rent this.... instead, for a fun clown horror movie go pick up a copy of KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE. That is a fun movie!

As if a further demonstration is needed of how bad this film is... I saw a copy of it for sale for $3.50 in the bargain bin of my local used CD store today. IT WAS RELEASED LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AGO!

It's really not that bad. I've seen worse, but I've seen much better. It's worth a rent and if you saw it for $3.50, that's actually not too shabby. Better than the $20-26 most of us schmucks either had to pay or might end up paying for it. It's not worth that much, but $3.50 is pretty reasonable.

Just watched it. Not quite as bad as I was expecting, but nowhere near being "good". I liked the ending.

So is it worth a rent or should I just remove it from my netprix queue?

Worth a rent I would say. I can definitely see people liking this, just not loving it.

Worth a rent. At the very least, it'll clearly explain why you should always have a waterproof marker.

Same here. Childhood trauma (bastard circus clowns). I eventually overcame the fear and am now a huge fan of evil clowns. The only reason I rented this flick is because it's got clowns & zombies, all rolled up into one neat little package.

Remove it! for the love of God, remove it! give a camcoder to a bunch of 10 year olds with halloween masks, and they can make a better movie than this.

Dude, seriously, it wasn't THAT bad. I mean not a classic by any means but it's not the worst film I've ever seen. That's a tally between FOREST OF THE DEAD and DAY OF THE DEAD 2 - DOTD 2 actually had zombies in it so that one's slightly at an advantage but the sheer ridiculousness of it is what knocks it down. But compared to either of these films, DEAD CLOWNS is golden.

Watched it last night. I've seen much worse but to be honest, I enjoyed the previews better than the movies...
