Surprised no one has posted about the next Indy movie, maybe they have but I couldn't find one and honest I looked.
anyway thought I'd post the recent pic of Harrison on set of Indiana Jones and The Unconfirmed title, take by a Mr Spielberg himself.
http://www.indianajones.com/community/news/img/20070621.jpg
Funny thing was I was like oh don't make a 4th one it will just ruin the trilogy this is a different situation from Rambo etc. But that pic just set the little kid inside me jumping for joy lol even though it's just a 65 year old actor sitting down wearing a costume.

As my best friend said about all the "old" action franchises; Die Hard 4, Rocky B, Indy 4, Rambo 4
"they had to come back to kick ass because they where disgusted by the crap action films of today."
LOL, I have to agree I prefer these old heroes on the screen than some Muppet like Vin Diesel, the only half decent "New" action hero is Jason Statham.
To me most them look tougher now, Bald Bad Boy Willis (Even if it is PG-13). Sly in Rambo IV looks like he could rip the Stallone from First Blood in half.
Real Action heroes don't age, They harden! :machgun2: :guns: :shotg:

I agree. these icons are alot better then this XxX crap. I like Jason Statham.. but Crank and The transporters were not Terminator, Die Hard, Predator, INDIE ect ect ect.
Ive looking forward to this for awhile. I just hope it measures up.

Good ol' Indy! I had originally though that this pic was going to be 'the one where Indy hangs up his whip and hat' but it looks like he'll be wrestling snakes and throttling crusty old Nazis just like the good ol' days! :drinking:

Although I love the Jason Stratham films (especially Crank ), I also love that they're taking another star out of the retirement home and into the big screen! I'm sure that this sequel will be one of the biggest hits this year!
And off the subject a little bit, isn't Shia LeBeuf (sp) in this film?

I guess River Phoenix wasn't available then? :scare:........Too soon? LOL
Anyhow, I'm psyched as Hell about this movie. Any word on what years this one will be set in? If I remember correctly, Temple of Doom was a prequel to Raiders so it should be interesting to find out just where they're gonna place this one chronologically.

Man Pleads Guilty in Indiana Jones Theft
Source: The Associated Press November 2, 2007
A man who schemed to sell stolen computers and photographs used for Steven Spielberg's upcoming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has pleaded guilty to two felony counts, according to The Associated Press.
Roderick Davis, 37, of Cerritos pleaded guilty Thursday to receiving stolen property and commercial burglary. As part of his plea deal, he will serve two years and four months in state prison.
He would have faced at least four years in prison if convicted of the charges, the District Attorney's Office said.
Davis was arrested Oct. 4 in West Hollywood during a sting operation by detectives who learned that some of the stolen material was being offered for sale to several entertainment gossip Web sites.
They posed as potential buyers for the images and set up a meeting. When Davis arrived, they took him into custody.

The bad thing for me is that I'm working night shift tonight, so I won't get home until about 7 am. Since the trailer is premiering on a news program, it's a sure bet that they won't show it until just before 9:00 so that everyone has to sit through their stupid show. After that, the trailer is supposed to be online at the official site almost immediately meaning that the traffic will be so heavy that the site will probably crash or something and we'll all have to wait a couple of hours before it gets posted on Youtube or something.:x
I'm counting on YOU ZAMD!! Get this thing posted so that I can watch it the second I wake up this afternoon! I'm not even sure I'm gonna be able to sleep once I get home. The trailer is supposed to be something like 1:42, so there should be quite a bit of stuff in such a long time slot. I kinda hope they don't show a whole lot, though. I'd be happy with just hearing the theme song and seeing Indy's shadow on a cave wall or something. That would be pretty bad ass!!

oh man it was epic, there is some footage from the old movies and a good bit of stuff from the new movie,,, but nothing too revealing ( except one bit, more on this in a second ), indy looks great, still has his indy'esque 1 liners, and most importantly it FEELS like an indy movie
as for the revealing clip,, there have been a ton of rumors that this movie will have somethin to do with area 51, and there is a scene where this lady bends over a crate and it apears to be highly magnetic as it pulls her glasses to it, and on the side of the crate it says roswell new mexico 1947.
ill see if i cant find a copy online to post up here .

Ive heard grumblings that harison ford is too old and in his recent movies he looks hagard and sounds bad, but if you ask me in this he sounds / looks just like indy should.
this is the most we have learned about the plot thus far, and I must say it sounds very indiana jones in style, sort of a cross between temple of doom and last crusade, should be thouroughly kick ass and enjoyable.

there's just something about a 60something year old man that makes the film hard to believe.. in the trailer he's barely even moving!
ZombiesAteMyDog
05-16-2008, 11:06 AM
yes, its the age of indiana jones that makes these movies hard to believe, not the spirits that melt peoples faces, or the magic cups that when taken a drink from either makes you age 100 years in about 20 seconds or gratns you eternal life, oh and the very believable glowing stones that allow you to rip out someones heart and lower them into lava - while they are still alive awake and aleart - so realistic
people age in real life, people age in movie land too I reckon, if anything the fact that a movie hasnt been released in 19 years and the fact he actualy IS 19 years older looking / acting makes it more realistic and believable IMO - they are playing this smart this movie doesnt take place in the 30s a year or 2 after crusade, it takes place 20 years later in the 50s which explains why he is so much older, and its a great touch i think.

Barely moving? I guess if you count running across the top of a bunch of crates and then swinging through the air and crashing through a truck windshield with your body as "barely moving" then yes, he is basically standing still through the entire trailer.:loon:

So does anyone have plans to go tomorrow? I have to go out of town for a stupid wedding, but I believe the wife is willing to ask her parents to babysit for a couple of hours on Saturday evening so that we can sneak out to the theater! The only drawback is that I have to let our daughter spend that couple of hours with my mother in law, which is something I DON'T want to happen. Hopefully, when she's older, she'll understand the importance of Indiana Jones to MY generation and will forgive me for that two hours of her life that she'll never get back.

I do expect this to be good, roger ebert who is usualy tough gave this 3 out of 4 stars and said it is pretty much equal to last crusade, and he is a huge indy fan, so that bodes well IMO for this being a good flick.

WOW! An action movie that doesnt need cussing or extreme amounts of blood and gunfights to be GREAT!!!
I loved this movie. They played everything well in this. Great acting once again.. the only difference is the age of Harrison but he didnt miss a beat with anything. Great shenanigans in this flick. The son aspect was a great addition. They closed up alot of loose ends from previous films and even has a star wars quote in it:)
Ummmmm... I was extremely happy with it. Great film.. wholesome great entertainment with damn good characters (old and new) great comedy.. just an all around fun/good film. The villians vival the nazis and Shia played his character well. Cant wait to see what they make next.
There were a few things that bugged me like the love story thrown in.. but it wasnt bad enough to take anything away.

agree completely with everything ZK101 said,
this is one of the best action movies I have seen in quite a long time, lots of great nods to the first 3 movies ( marcus statue = priceless ) , great action, great set pieces, good acting.
alot of people say the movie didnt have heart - I disagree, i heard alot of people say the plot was weak but I really dont think so , the plot lies somewhere inbetween last crusde and temple of doom sort of borrowing bits from both plus with some new and interesting things thrown in, the biggest critisizm ive read / heard is that the ending is too far fetched, too hard to believe, too fantastical - but seriously, I found it no harder to believe then god coming out of a box and melting someones face.
it was GREAT to see indy back on the big screen, I thought shia did GREAT and I actualy can see him picking up the franchise somewhere down the road and taking the riegns if they ever decide to take it that direction, cate blanchet was great as the villian IMO, not to mention for some reason with that haircut and ( obviously fake ) accent she was quite sexy, seeing marriam back after 2 movies with out her was just the icing on the cake.
9.5 / 10
heres how I would rank the indy movies
1. Raiders of the lost arc 10 / 10
2. Last crusade <tied> Kingdom of the crystal skull 9.5 / 10
3.Temple of doom 8.5 / 10

alot of people say the movie didnt have heart - I disagree, i heard alot of people say the plot was weak but I really dont think so , the plot lies somewhere inbetween last crusde and temple of doom sort of borrowing bits from both plus with some new and interesting things thrown in, the biggest critisizm ive read / heard is that the ending is too far fetched, too hard to believe, too fantastical - but seriously, I found it no harder to believe then god coming out of a box and melting someones face.
it was GREAT to see indy back on the big screen, I thought shia did GREAT and I actualy can see him picking up the franchise somewhere down the road and taking the riegns if they ever decide to take it that direction, cate blanchet was great as the villian IMO, not to mention for some reason with that haircut and ( obviously fake ) accent she was quite sexy, seeing marriam back after 2 movies with out her was just the icing on the cake.
9.5 / 10
heres how I would rank the indy movies
1. Raiders of the lost arc 10 / 10
2. Last crusade <tied> Kingdom of the crystal skull 9.5 / 10
3.Temple of doom 8.5 / 10
Agree with everything you say:)
I cant see how people can complain about that part of the ending with what you said about the other endings/plot. No farther out there then the Arc.. (nice glimpse huh) Didnt the movie just make you feel good? I agree.. she was sexy.
The biggest thing I'm hearing is that people dont like Shia... I dont get it the guys a great actor. But thats IMDB for ya looking at the guys personal life

I can see how some people may not like it that much as im sure it wont be for everybody, I just couldnt agree with them less though

Saw it opening night.
The script was all over the place, The ending(s) where poor and the over use of terrible CGI (Is this really a Speilberg Movie?) made for a dissapointing underwelming film.
The opening was good, Harrison was great at 66 all the cast where grate actually and the bike chase was entertaining.
7/10.

The in laws came down this weekend so the wife and I FINALLY got out to the theater to see this one yesterday. I sincerely don't know exactly what some people are bitching about. This movie was an outstanding addition to the series and I couldn't have asked for better! The CGI was good, the story was great with a nice flow and the acting was superb. I honestly felt as if it were the early nineties and The Last Crusade was only a couple of years prior. The fact that it was a 19 year wait completely dissolved after the first 10 minutes of this movie!!! The ONLY thing that I didn't like was the fact that he only used his whip maybe twice, but that's just because I was so fascinated with the fact that it was his weapon of choice back when I was 11 years old and saw Raiders for the first time. Other than that, this movie is definitely the hit of the summer and delivered everything anyone could hope for in an Indy movie!! Best action flick of the year!!! 9.5/10
