Im a liddel fan...that guy has rocks for hands, im really anticipating his fight with quinton "rampage" jackson, that guy beat the tar out of liddell back in '04 i think, so hopefully it should be a pretty good re-match....
Hell yeah! That's this Saturday? Im looking forward to this match bigtime.
Mmmm favourity fighters. Huh let's see there is so many It would have to be anyone that kicks Matt Hughes ass is good with me.

as I said earlier, im new to this, so I really havent seen many matt hughes fights...i think I saw the one where he lost to george st pierre, but thats it...
Forrest Griffin is pretty good, he did a good job against Tito Ortiz, he could have won that bout.
one of my favorites from back in the day is tank abbot....from what I have seen, this guy was a monster!
There are so many good fighters now. My favourite is watching a good superfight like Ortiz Vs. Liddel. Vanderlei Silva is also very exciting to watch. Tank Abbot has powerful punches. Have you watched Pride?

yeah Pride is in Japan and WAS the best org out there but it was bought out by the UFc because they lost there tv deal so its kinda up in the air about whats gonna happen if there changing the rules around which everyone loved
yeah silva finished quinton twice with brutal clinch knees the first time was in the 2003 middleweight grand prix tournament (awesome tournament!!) quinton just finished liddel and went on to be beat by wanderlei and then they had a rematch and wanderlei beat him in the exact same fashion Personally i think that lidel is taking this one he has been peaking and rampage has had some losses since there last fight but now that pride and the Ufc are under the same ownership we can see all the Pride greats come over i want to see shogun versus chuck and den henderson fight anderson silva dan is one of my many favorites he is the pride welterweight and middle weight titleholder right now and just koed wanderlei for the middlewieght belt which wandelei has held since its inception......
im a huge nerd about his shit fighting tattoos and zombies those are the three things its hard to get me to sht up about

Liddels training regime is crazy it involves 120lb medicine balls pushing hundreds of pounds up hills in wheel barrows its superhuman the training some of these guys put themsleves through.
Yeah its good that the UFC is finally improving there roster of fighters if you werent on a winning streak they would cut you loose but the lame thing is that Pride kept the sport afloat for so many years and now if they change everything around that sucks no more flying stomps or soccer kicks, tournaments and 4 point attacks (knees to the head on ground) and 10 minute rounds

thats already sounds insane....I cant imagine what the rest of his training might be like!
hopefully UFC will integrate some of the pride rules into their fights, at least the tournaments..

My favorite MMA fighters are Tim Sylvia, Keith Jardine, Mirko "Cro Cop" and Pride Fighter Fedor Emelianenko. I started watching UFC before they were "banned" nationwide and I've continued to be a fan of the series. It's a lot less violent than it used to be but I think the rules really push fighters to work on the technical aspect more. It's VERY doubtful we'll ever see the vicious attacks in UFC that we used to.
Concerning this Liddel vs. Jackson fight, it's going to be a rough pick. Jackson has a better record and he's younger but Chuck is going in with a score to settle and you can never count Chuck Liddel out. Ever.
By the way, Ortiz fans may want to say goodbye to Tito now because it's highly doubtful we'll see him in the UFC again for quite some time.

I remember seeing old footage of UFC fights. the refs werent really keen as when to stop the fights...I remember seeing guys tapping for at least 5 seconds on a couple of occasions...one fight stands out in particular to me...its a huge black guy, I think he was a sumo wrestler (really). he was about 6'7 and like 4 to 500 pounds vs an avarage built white guy...I dont remember how but the sumo guy ended up on 1 knee, but the other guy was WAILING on the back of the sumos head, i mean serious punches! everytime he would try to get up, he would lose his balance cause of the punches...vicious stuff....in fact, I just found it ou youtube:

It all started with Ortiz demanding he get a three round boxing match with Prez Dana White as part of his renegotiated UFC contract. When it was finally given the greenlight White began training, Ortiz began making excuses. White documented the training, Ortiz lied on his Myspace blog. White really had nothing to lose but a few teeth, Ortiz stood to lose his livelihood if White out boxed him so Ortiz slithered his way out of the match and blamed it on Dana White.
With the bad blood those two have had between one another it'll be a miracle we see Ortiz after his contract is up.

i remember seeing a special about that on spike tv one night....I never got to finish it, I had one too may beers and passed out....so they never fought? geez, I remember watching 1 1/2 hours of that thing before passing out...
I think ortiz might still be around....he gets the hype up on all of his fights and sells out arenas, I think dana might just keep him around to make a few more bucks on him...

Good riddance ive always hated tito hes a professional fighter and he wouldnt spar a middleaged former amatuer boxer after he made a huge fuss about it!
Remember when he fought Vitor Belfort and after a close and lackluster performance goes running into the stands like he just single handedly won the Superbowl even before they got the decision back.I mean he won a split decison by like 1 point and he starts calling out everyone in the crowd talking shit to Ken and Chuck, though i did like when chuck came in pissed as all hell and you see him mouth the words "F@cking P#ssy" to tito's face
PS: the current rules are here to stay there set by the Nevada State Commision but the recently reallowed back elbows to the head they used to only allow "forearms"

That documentary on Dana's training was nothing more than Dana's televised explanation of why the fight never went down. Basically, Ortiz bailed and then blamed it on Dana and a host of issues. Even Ortiz's training team stated in the documentary that this fight could ruin his career if Dana White won and that would have been taking a major chance on Ortiz's part.
The only reason Ortiz came back to the UFC the first time was mainly due to Tito's wife asking Dana White for a second chance for Ortiz. It's doubtful that'll be happening this time around. Honestly, I think Ortiz will finish out his contract and move on. There's a shitload of new televised MMA venues just waiting for a "star" like Tito Ortiz.

Yeah Ortiz was knocked down about 45 out of his 46 pegs when Liddel stomped him in that last fight. It was a drunken celebration that night lemme tell ya! Personally, I think Ortiz will just bounce around for awhile in MMA before deciding to rap, act in porn, drop by the WWE as a jobber and eventually slum it in low-budget horror like Shamrock and Severn.

I remember watching the first UFC on my uncle's black box. Good times, it was basically Royce Gracie rolling around with some ppor schmo for half an hour, then a few jiu-jitsu fights.
My personal favorite fighter right now is Brandon Vera, mark my words he'll hold a title soon.

Anytime you heard THE NAME GRACIE you knew you'd get a slow, methodical grappling match.
As for "The Truth" belting up someday, great possibility though I don't see that happening anytime soon with Cro Cop on the mend, Gonzaga seeking the belt and Couture defending.

I actually would kind of like to see Jackson "whup Chuck's ass" (the clips of Rampage saying that are ****ing hilarious). I'm not a big Liddell fan, while his fights are always exciting to watch, I just don't feel like there's any substance to his personality.

I'm going to laugh my ass off when Liddel stomps a mudhole in Rampage. As for Cro Cop...the man is a monster and he just wasn't prepared. I truly believe he underestimated Gonzaga's ability to use something other than his hands and grappling.

Yeah shamrock is way over the hill back in the early mid nineties he peaked you look at him now hes either all juiced up or haggard as hell after seeing him just quit gainst fujita and the sakuraba incident its amazing to beleive that hes beaten Bas Rutten 3 times
On the above mentioned Chuck versus Page i think Chucks gonna take it Rampage isnt the same Rampage as when they fought the first time the 50 something knees Silva force fed him had something to do with it and shogun soccer kicking him into nothing didnt help chute boxe has messed him up over the years but Rampage has fought the better fighters and you never can count him out and you know he wants this BBAAADDD!!!

liddell vs silva? I want liddell to win, but with his past 2 miserable fights, I dont know how well, he'll be able to handle "the axe murderer"
st pierre vs hughes? pierre all the way...not taking away the skills hughes has, but "rush" is a machine!

This will be tough night for me I think. I want Chuck, but he sure seems to have lost his edge.
I like Hughes a lot and I want him to fight Serra, but I also would like to see St. Pierre move up and fight in the next weight class. I think a loss for him would tarnish more than Hughes.
I will say that the Hughes will do better. He fought there last fight just a little over a month after BJ Penn I believe. That is like Playing the superbowl against two of the best teams in two days...it was a stupid move on his part.

Yeah this is a good card Silva vs Liddell there both coming off double losses Wanderlei's last two fights he was koe'd out cold so its do or die if they want to stay in any sort of picture. There both so close to retirement and they both have talked about not going on forever and just a few more fights if someone gets beaten bad then this very well might be one of there last fights!
There styles are so different, those two both really wind up but Liddell is taller and has a more direct punching style and he counter punches more but Wanderlei has faced way more top talent strikers and NEEDS this win
Hughes and St. Pierre this is also to be a good one Hughes has said the reason that he got handled is hes gotten two far away from his bread and butter so hes going to just outright try to dominate St. Pierre on the ground but George is no slouch and is younger and has been improving exponentially what Serra did to him doesn't take away anything about how dangerous he is! As long as he plugged that huge hole that Serra exploited to the max!
Not to mention Machida vs "the BTT Killer" Sokoujdo (dude has a impossible name) and Dean Lister!
oh and watch out for the Doug Evans fight hes from Alaska not he best team ever but got to cheer him on if they show his fight!

st pierre is such a phenomenal athlete. he totally dominated hughes! made him verbally tap...good thing the ref heard it, cause it looked like st pierre was about to rip hughes arm off!
I expected a lot more over that giant predator lookin mofo, but he got lit up too!

Yeah, i kinda expected Liddell to take it, but Hughes getting armbarred! Didn't see that coming. Honestly, i don't think he wanted to fight St. Pierre again. You could see how happy he was when Serra took him out, because, he figured he could get back on top by taking out Serra, but Serra got injured and he ended up getting dominated by George again.
Machida is so good and yet so unknown you look at his record and every fight is against top talent its kinda ridiculous.

Yeah his first fight wasn't that impressive really he just power scrambled him to the ground and just started punching, he was fed that opponent. What ive heard is that he's trained with Tim sylvia and Tim said hes a total pusse, he shy's away from any real contact. He is going to be looking for a double and throwing single shots here and there but i expect alot of bulling forward like a linebacker.
The thing is Mir isn't in his prime he almost died in a motorcycle wreck and it messed his leg up bad! Since he's come back its been pretty off and on his first fight he was just lethargic. He's gonna need to have a more active guard game against Brock because Lesnar is just gonna smother him like a sweaty roid soaked blanket.
I see this one being kinda boring and going to decision Brock just doesn't have the skills and Mir's once great abilities are now totally suspect. Then again it could be awesome its a fight and anything can happen someone might make up a completely new and outrageous submission on the spot or they might fight so hard it destroys everything within a five mile radius.
There are a few fights i'm interested in but nowhere near as much as the next event with Anderson Silva vs. Henderson. i am a big fan of Henderson and have been for yea rhe's one of the few old timers still doing good. If only Igor Vovchanchyn would start fighting again!!

my picks: penn over sherk
silva over jardine
machida over ortiz
i think sherk is scared of penn...penn is an awsome fighter
jardine is really good, and has wins over some serious oponents, but i dont think he'll be able to stop the axe murderers aggressive style
dont think ortiz has it in him...hes way past his prime...he needs a win bad, and that alone might encourage him enbough to take the win though...ive only seen machida fight once...but he has a 12-0 record...hes a youngin hungry for more...
