Every horror fan has that one favorite movie. The one that's overlooked and underappreciated. The movie that you can extensively quote from and enthusiastically recommend to people. The flick that you yourself can watch over and over and never get tired of, even though most of your friends have never heard of it.
Idle Hands is that "go to" horror movie for me. Consisting of equal parts horror and comedy, there's enough gore for the bloodfiends and enough genuinely funny lines to carry the story over the squirm-inducing moments for your non-horror addicted friends.
Anton (Devon Sawa) is a slacker with a problem. The problem that Anton thinks he has - no weed - is not nearly as serious as the real problem that he doesn't even know about yet. That problem becomes apparent soon enough, in that one of his hands is possessed. Not only does he have minimal control over his right hand, but that hand keeps killing people while he's mostly powerless to prevent it from happening. Broken bottles, saw blades, knitting needles... everything is a murder weapon to the hand while Anton tries to figure out how to stop it. In the process, he, or rather, his hand manages to kill his two best friends (played by Seth Green and Elden Henson). And if that's not bad enough, the hand starts trying to kill the girl across the street, and Anton has had a long-time case of the hots for her.
