As it's Mother's Day I thought I would keep in the spirit and post some info on this delightful looking French flick:)

Synopsis from Twitchfilm.net
Sarah, a young photographer, is by herself on Christmas eve. She's been alone since her husband died tragically in a car accident. Today is the last day she has to spend at home before going to hospital to induce labour. The calm is interrupted by a knock on the door. Confronted by a mysterious woman, Sarah is immediately suspicious, and refuses to let her in; however, the woman will not leave. Sarah suddenly feels afraid and calls the police. In the gloom outside, the woman watches her through the picture windows. Yet, when the police show up, she's gone. With riots raging in the neighbouring suburb, the distracted policemen comfort her and leave. Sarah locks herself away in her house, unaware that the woman is now inside. As Sarah feels her first contractions, she does all she can to fight back this madwoman hellbent on taking one thing....

There certainly are some fruitcakes out there!

I think this gets a theatrical release in June in France. Hopefully the dvd release won't be too long in waiting though

I'll grant you that they haven't flooded the market with horror. Obviously that is changing with the likes of Alexandre Aja and Kim Chapiron.

But you can't deny the impact of movie makers such as Luc Besson, Louis Malle, Jean Luc Goddard and Francois Traffaut, to name but four. Also, two of my favourite movies, from any nation, happen to be Les Amants du Pont Neuf and L.627.

I digress though, as A L'interieur looks like a cracking flick regardless of the country of origin.

Don't forget Christophe Gans, Jeunet & Caro, and despite Catwoman, Pitof still has my respect for making Vidocq.

Naturally my affinity for French flicks (or do I have to call them "Freedom Flicks" now?) will mean I'll pick this up as soon as I can. Very excited.

I just bought and watched this movie last night. New levels of awesomeness. No really, it's a great horror movie. It's almsot a suspense or thriller technically, but the level of ultra-violence and gore are unbelieveable. And the effects were very well done. I watched it an immediately drove over toa buddies house who's a horror fiend like me and gave it to him to watch. He called me about three hours later and was in his second viewing.
