Why do people like going on cruise ships? Sure they have all the required luxury found in your typical five star hotels, but c’mon, it’s floating on top of miles of unexplored regions of the world. The big blue sea! Which my friends, scares the shit outta me. I mean, what is down there? As the planet is getting ever more ****ed up, as are the creatures from down below. See the pictures of all these new found beasts of the deep on any news site and you’ll see where I’m coming from! They are big and they are very, very ugly. Jaws doesn’t seem as scary any more: almost cute.
Then you have the water itself. When you get out into the wide ocean and the waves kick up, rocking the hell out of the huge piece of iron and steel (which in itself is scary as hell!) Any time a huge wave could come and knock that big bitch ship right over! Not to mention, the threat of evil Nazi ghost ships that roam around the ocean ready to plough into your lovely floating Hilton!
The cast of Death Ship was understandably not prepared for this eventuality when they set out for a voyage to the Caribbean. As the phantom vessel approaches the fun loving guests and the ship’s crew we get a great B movie “collision” scene in which we see no collision. The camera shakes and the cast fall on the floor! - Genius.
