Since about 3am this morning, the towns of Vancouver, Toronto and I'm told Otawa in Canada have been stirring with odd behaviour. Up until about 10am it went un-noticed but now it's all over the 24-hour news networks - those . They're afraid to use the word 'zombie' but that's what it is. I'm sure all Canadian users (based in central Canadian towns, at least) will back me up on this.
The undead are literally walking the streets and feasting on human flesh. Anyone bitten becomes one of their army. After a 16-hour incubation period you lose consciousness and become one - the 'infection' is spreading from town to town because you're perfectly capable of driving for those sixteen hours.
Reports and rumors of massive military mobilisation in London remain unsubstantiated. The newsreaders are on edge - they can't get information out and neither can we. What we know, according to BBC News 24, is that the infections arrived here on planes coming out of the U.S. One of the planes came from Massachussetts, another from Mississippi and it's reported that the third came from Tennessee. The infections will doubtless be spreading there too, and planes have been flying all over the U.S from those areas. Nowhere is safe, guys.
My family is moving out soon. We've gotten hold of some blunt weapons (shovels and baseball bats) and we're going to make our way to the local police station. Hopefully they've been able to hold off the zombies long enough to provide a little shelter. It's estimated that there are already upwards of two thousand undead in this area alone.
This topic is for posting the status of your towns and cities, updating us on how you're coping with the onslaught and, if you have the facilities, organising shelter. Post anything relevant that you can think of - it may help others survive.
