I was just looking for a little feedback on my script, School of the Dead. It was optioned in 2005/06 but the option expired. I've rewritten it and I was just hoping that some of the zombie fans here could read it and let me know what they think.
Some peoples here read it a little while back but it's evolved since then.
Anyhoo, let me know if you have some time.
Here is the pitch I've been using with prod co's.
School of the Dead When zombies overrun a high school, the students must fight for their survival .
Synopsis: Flesh eating zombies have overrun the town of Crimson, killing everything in their path. At the nearby Crimson High School, everyone is oblivious until marauding packs of the living dead descend on the campus. The survivors of the first wave are the Goth chick Abby, her best friend Daizie, Jesse the shy kid, his friend the rambunctious Josh, the quarterback Chris and his girlfriend, the cheerleader, Paige. Together they team up with various implements of attack to try and survive the zombies.
A cross between "Night of the Living Dead" and "Heathers," "School of the Dead" is an update on the zombie-horror sub-genre with a character driven plot as well as gore and laughs for the hardcore fans. "School of the Dead" is a low budget, high concept screenplay that's a slick take on the zombie fable. Taking cues from Romero and Argento, "School of the Dead" injects new life into the living-dead genre.
So, if anyone is interested in reading it let me know.
