As a huge zombie movie fan I would just like to make a small announcement.

*Clears throat*

I like running zombies!

There that might get my membership revoked from the “Zombie Appreciation Society” but I don’t give a shit.

You see if there was a real “classic” zombie outbreak, I would have every confidence that I’d survive to the conclusion. I wouldn’t go outside investigating if I saw a recently deceased Aunt “gut munching” the guy from next door on my front lawn, I wouldn’t try hugging a loved one who I’d seen die at the hands of a zombie, I’d be able to pick a good place to hole-up and barricade myself in and I’m certain that if need be I could out run a shitload of shuffling rotten corpses.

But being a dumpy little ****er I think I’d have trouble outrunning a running zombie.

Flight 239 is on it’s way from Los Angeles to Paris. Apart from the usual passengers on board there’s also “special” consignment in the cargo hold, and it’s armed guard.

At the start of the film you get the usual introduction to all the passengers onboard the plane, I don’t...[READ MORE HERE] (http://www.joehorror.com/0000771.html)

I saw this earlier today and this is the first time I've ever disagreed with a JH review. Well, not entirely, there was that whole FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2 review I went off on but this is the first one in recent memory where I completely disagreed.

This is NOT a 5 star zombie film. Hell it's not even a 5 star film in general. I'd say on average it would rank a 3 or 3 1/2. The acting was so-so, no one in particular really stood out to me and the action sequences were pretty well put together but they never reached any peak equalivliant to the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake. The film is not nearly good enough to have a five star rating. Not by a long shot. There were more things I disliked about it than liked. However it was not a bad film. It was actually kind of fun.

There were certainly scenes that merit it to be a good zombie film but not a great zombie film, not a 5 star zombie film or horror film for that matter. Guess I'll just have to be more careful with the JH reviews from now on.

Some of the new JH reviewers are just getting accustomed to rating films objectively so there are going to be instances in which they "over-rated" and that's to be expected. You can't win 'em all.
