I don't know what it is about the desert settings of movies like The Devil’s Rejects or The Hills Have Eyes (1977, naturally) that I like so much, but it’s undeniable that I love 'em. Even mediocre movies like The Forsaken manage to gain a soft spot in my heart, just because of the dirty, dusty atmosphere they give off.
