Oh dear god. Where do I even start? Shock O Rama, you never cease to shock and amaze. I have to be honest; I’ve been sitting on this review for three weeks. Usually when I watch a film I have no problem laying down some thoughts on it in a short amount of time. Cinema is the bane of my existence and always seems to evoke a reaction for better or for worse.
Well, whether for better or for worse, Skin Crawl seems to display the superbly low brow quality of filmmaking we’ve come to expect from Shock O Rama lately. Not that there’s anything wrong with ultra low budget schlock. It has its place in horror, and surprisingly it also has a raging fan base. Hell, even I have enjoyed much of the titles from Shock O Rama, but Skin Crawl… well, why don’t you just let me explain in a bit more detail? I think it would be easier that way.
Skin Crawl is a formulated story of retribution and revenge. The film sets upon us 300 years ago in old Colonial America. We watch as a coven of witches goes about doing whatever it is that witches do. You know – newts eyes, chanting, and shit like that.
