what would happen?

this has been bugging me for awhile now. What would happen to zombies if they ran out of "food"? Would time take its toll on zombies? they wouldn't be able to die cause there already dead. what do you think?

Scenario 1:
The zombies roam the earth constantly in search of food, untill they're uncapable of moving and they simply rot away.

Scenario 2:
The zombies lie down to conserve energy and only move when potential prey is around.

Scenario 3:
The zombies change their diet to animals, insects, fish and birds instead of humans only.

Scenario 4:
The zombies cannibalize each other.

Scenario 5:
The zombies create their own utopian society ( a little far-fetched don't you think? ).

In my opinion, they'd just rot away.

I think this would be the most likely scenario.
