(this is my VERY 1st attempt at any kind of review so i apologize in advance for its rather amateurish feel)

I Have eagerly awaiting its arrival for some time now I finally recieved my AUP Snuff edition through the post a few days ago and I have to admit, i was very impressed with the final installment in this twisted-as-hell trilogy.

In my opinion Fred and the other guys at ToeTag have really listened to what the fans like and have successfully delivered.
Where as AU had the true gritty realism and Mordum the sheer visceral shock, penance delivered both in healthy stomach churning results.

The budget has obviously increased for the 3rd film but doesnt numb the experience with unneeded fx, if anything they have used the money to really give a more gut-wrenching up-close view of the pure carnage of the film.

As previously noted, the realism has really been considered in this film, with lot of emphasis on character developement.
if your expecting an indepth insight into the killers backgrounds you will be dissapointed as our protagonists still retain there dark aura of mistery BUT what they do truely show is the slow and steady decline into a new realm of madness and maybe some small explanation into the sick, deprived acts that have transpired through the AU movies.

As with the previous 2 titles, Penance is for those with a stong constitution. Taking the viewer into a whole new and twisted world, giving crushing blow after crushing blow of pure blood soaked fantasy while leaving you contemplating your own deep-seeded desires.

Toetag always aim to push the envelope and certainly have not failed us again.

I'm looking forward to checking this one out. I loved the first, was okay with the second and I'm dying to get my greedy hands on Redsin Tower. I was totally unprepared for this release so I may have to contact Fred for a screener copy.

There's a third one? Damn, I am slacking. Must find a copy. Nice review, it sounds like it is an improvement on Mordum.
