The story takes place in modern day Bucharest and tells the tale of nineteen year old Vivian Gandillon (Bruckner), who has spent her life on the run from the truth... that she is a werewolf. When her affections for a visiting American artist threaten to expose her family’s secret society, she must choose between her love for an outsider and betraying the secret.

saw the preview for this today, and it doesn't look too promising. Only thing that might get me to see it in a theater is an R rating.

It looked like "Underworld" meets "American Werewolf in Paris".

I saw the trailer at the theatre yesterday, and thought yes it does seem in vein of Underworld. I'll probably trek along and see it with my wife.

As much as I agree that it does look a lot like Underworld, I don't miss werewolf movies, so I'll be seeing this for sure.

I saw the trailer the other day and it looks ok but I really like werewolf stories so I will see it.

I might see if just for the title. It contains two of my most favourite things.

I just watched this last Friday, and it was alright. The only thing I was not sold on was the transformation of the werewolves. I really like them to be a visceral, almost painful experience like in Dog Soldiers. This one they almost seemed to be like fairy tales.

The one thing that ticked me off was the whole schtick with "we are limited to our small population" thing. I am sorry, but if you run a group of what are essentially humans as a wolf pack then what can you expect? I mean one alpha male mating with one female for seven years at a time does not make for a good distribution of genes. It just seemed an odd restriction they put on the mythos of this "pack" of werewolves.

I am not certain if the ending was meant to be a setup for a sequel, but I would watch it just out of curiosity.

Meh. I could take it or leave it. Too many pretty people / Evanescence type bands . Being as that it is from the producers of Underworld, I don't see why anyone would be surprised that it looks like the same type flick, only a little less dark/goth. Honestly, with the success of the Underworld movies I'm surprised we haven't seen more of these.
