28 Days Later didn't have zom--...whatever.

Anyhow, no I don't think this is going to be on that level. I think this is Marshall's home to Mad Max style films.

Marshall was planning to do a zombie film apparently but its been put on the back burner in favour of Doomsday

After Dog Soldiers and the Descent, I'm pretty keen to see what else he can come up.

Hello everyone, I have been a long time reader of these boards and now I have decided to put my thoughts into the mix. Like all of you I have been a long time zombie lover.....Just wanted to let you all know that Neil Marshall who directed "The Descent" is doing a project called "Doomsday." It is a film about a virus that has forced the U.S. to construct a wall across the entire nation to keep the virus out.....The virus spreads to another country and the world is in trouble....Head over to Bloody-Disgusting.com to read more on it....Glad to be a part of the community....Zombie Hunter for Life!!!

Yeah he's pretty much 3 for 3 with me, considering I'm one of 4 people on the planet that enjoyed Killing Time. I'm more than willing to invest my time in something new from Marshall, especially a post-apocalyptic flick.

AAAAAAAAAAAhahahahaha

This is currently in the General Horror section because this doesn't appear to be a zombie film.

Mark your calendars gore fiends! We were just given the good news that Neil Marshall's next genre vice-grip DOOMSDAY will hit the big screen on March 14, 2008. Here's what the film's about:
Bad news for Scotland. Its population will soon be wiped out by a virus called Reaper, and a wall will be built to separate it from the rest of the UK. That is, according to Neil Marshall’s Doomsday, in which thirty years after these events the Reaper reappears in London, and a group of soldiers is sent to the other side of the wall to look for a cure among the survivors of the first outbreak…

DOOMSDAY stars Super Mario Bob Hoskins, Malcolm McDowell and Rhona Mitra. Rogue & Universal are releasing the film worldwide

I cant wait

Doomsday got a rated R for strong boody violence, bad talking, and nudity/sexual content.

The trailer looks pretty good. I was still thinking "zombies?" untill about halfway through, then "nope, no zombies"... kind of a let-down, but I'll still probably see it. Glad to see Rhona Mitra in something new.

I like these post-apocalyptic movies! :D

And Paul Anderson's going to ruin another well-acclaimed game franchise....Details on Dracula's origins? Yeah, he's gonna put a super bad character with kick-ass tech while the main character keeps his whip and becomes a side-kick....Stupid asshole.....

bit of a bump from the abyss on this one.

I am looking forward to this one, going to catch it at the theater, it looks like it is going to have a heavy escape from new york vibe with a bit of mad max thrown in which is a great thing imo , should be awesome flick.

o and ps I finaly checked out the descent, great movie, dont know how I missed that one before.

I thought this looked too much like EFNY. I'll pass until I read some reviews. I just saw the Descent recently, too. Good flick.

The previews of this movie look really promising, and I really hope to see this before it comes out on DVD! Unless 10,000 BC is still in theaters next weekend, I'm sure that my Dad and I will see Doomsday among the crowds of horror fans.
