I think a zombie coop fps-mmorpg would be awesome. Basically, an fps, set in a post zombie apocalypse setting. The zombies are controlled by bots, and other survivors are played by humans. It would have that diablo 2 thing, where as the amount of players increased, the amount of zombies spawning would increase, as well. Humans would create factions, which could be friendly with other factions, or even be at war. within the factions would be fireteams, consisting of
different classes, such as sniper, designated marksman, riflemen, submachinegunners, shotgunners, etc...( the weapons would be realistic, with iron sights, realistic damages, so on) You would configure your player, with their appearance, stats,( strength, endurance, marksmanship, etc.) ( these can be raised by lifting weights, running, and shooting) Most players ( 90%) won't have guns to start with. Whenever you attack another player, your criminal level will rise. Once it gets to a certain point, you are an outlaw. Other players will be able to see outlaws on their radar once they start firing guns, or use the in-game communication system, ( all within a certain range, only ). If the players want to join a faction, the faction leader would have to approve. Factions are based in barracaded forts, where you can safely leave your character when not being played. Joining a faction means you get free safety while in the barracaded forts, and you can heal while there. You can also borrow weapons, equipment, and other stuff from factions. The catch is, you have to go on missions that the faction leader decides. This includes full out wars against outlaw factions, cleaning out zombie infected areas,( sometimes containing boss monsters ) and supply runs. You can also start your own faction, by first building a shelter.

Just to see what you all would think:evil:

Do you have any coding exp. to do this kind of thing?

Jeeze, looks like I'm a trend setter. :)

I post a thread about making a zombie game and then three other people do it... I'm glad all these are more or less unique. If they weren't different from mine I'd get pretty pissed... Not that anyone would care, and the Voices would just laugh.

Lol, no probably not, I think you have to make it reality first. Though it is flattering you refer to everyone's idea as good.

I think it would be cool to have a world that's fixed at the beginning. Meaning supplies unless created dwindle. The area starts with fixed number of humans and a limited number of zombies and carriers of the virus(live humans that don't know they're spreading the disease). New players can take over existing living humans. The game ends when carriers and zombies or uninfected humans are wiped out.

There's a lot of problems with maintaining interests, losing characters to maintain "reality" without pissing off players, and making it easy enough for new players while increasing the hardness for older ones.

On every zombie forum ive been to, theres been someone saying they wanted a zombie MMO/RPG. Yet, programmers refuse to make it. Hmmm... I think the makers of WoW and Valve should team up and bring us this wonder game.
