View Full Version : What is your estimate of Zombie dud films?

Rubble...

This weekend I rented City of Rott and Severed. I ended up fast forwarding through much of them. I must question, how many zombie flicks are serious duds?

Also, while everyone has their favorites, which ones should be avoided?

p.s. If this is a retreat thread, feel free to place it in the Dead thread folder.

Zombie films are too easy to make. Especially on a low budget. Some white facepaint, kool aid and a few people with a video camera are a huge percentage of recent zombie cinema. Which makes it hard to seperate the crap from what is actually worth watching. It overshadows the actual good movies that dedicated people spent months making, putting blood, sweat and tears into them. Then we get the crap that someone spent a day writing, and a week shooting with some buds and a six pack. Fortunately for zombie fans there are still people out there trying to make the best possible zombie film they can. And sometimes the ones with the white face paint and the kool aid blood were made with heart but inexperience show and make the film less watchable.

There is a worst movie thread here (http://www.allthingszombie.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2408), so feel free to continue this discussion over there.

Asking what percentage is good or bad is a redundant question as very few people would be in a position to answer, as I doubt many have seen every zombie movie ever made.
